We are looking for a Finance & Accounting Manager to join our Finance team in smartPulse Turkey. This is a hands-on role that combines technical financial reporting expertise with operational finance role in an international business environment. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with both Turkish local accounting standards and IFRS, supporting revenue recognition, driving finance process automation, and partnering closely with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate financial reporting and operational excellence. Working as part of Volue's Finance organization, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while supporting a fast-growing business operating in the energy technology sector.
What you will do to make a difference
- Maintain the books under Turkish local accounting standards (VUK/TMS) and prepare monthly IFRS conversion adjustments.
- Apply IAS 29 (Financial Reporting in Hyperinflationary Economies) and ensure compliance with Turkish hyperinflation accounting requirements.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under IFRS.
- Manage the reconciliation between local GAAP and IFRS, documenting all adjustments clearly.
- Act as the finance point of contact for revenue-related questions from the sales team.
- Prepare, calculate, and issue invoices to clients accurately and on time.
- Maintain and reconcile accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding balances, and escalate overdue items as needed.
- Ensure all invoicing is compliant with Turkish e-Fatura and e-Defter regulations.
- Oversee the accounts payable process, including vendor invoice verification, approval workflow, and payment scheduling.
- Assist with cash flow forecasting and FX exposure monitoring in the context of a high-inflation, multi-currency environment.
- Support the onboarding and configuration of Salesforce for finance-related workflows (billing, revenue tracking, AR).
- Drive automation of recurring processes such as invoicing, payables, and month-end close routines.
- Identify inefficiencies in current processes and propose scalable, technology-driven solutions.
- Coordinating the Teknopark reports within smartPulse TR for timely delivery to the local advisor.
- Preparing the smartPulse Global R&D incentives deliverables for the advisor in the UK.
What you need to succeed
Must-Haves
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles; including 3 years audit and min 2 years of finance experience in an international company.
- Expert-level knowledge of Turkish accounting standards (VUK / TMS) and IFRS.
- Hands-on experience preparing monthly IFRS conversion adjustments.
- Solid understanding of IAS 29 and experience working in a high-inflation accounting environment.
- Familiarity with IFRS 15 revenue recognition principles and ability to apply them in complex commercial arrangements.
- Experience with Turkish e-Fatura and e-Defter systems.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and/or financial modelling tools.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms (ideally in a billing/revenue context).
- Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics.
- Professional certification: ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent.
