Job Description

Reporting to the Director - Information Technology, the Manager - Enterprise Applications, leads a team of IT/IS professionals who support, design and implement enterprise business applications, system-to-system interfaces including ERP, CRM, and other related solutions. The team continually works to develop and maintain an enterprise application suite that aligns with the organizations' strategic goals. The team works closely with various functional and line-of-business teams to design and implement business solutions through application technology and ultimately be responsible for ongoing maintenance and enhancements to the platform.

What will do you as a Manager, Enterprise Application

  • Lead a team of Business Analysts and Software Developers in delivering project workstreams, web-based software integrations, and application support and enhancements
  • Lead the complex solution design efforts with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide functional and technical guidance on application architecture, system integrations to support secure, scalable connectivity across the enterprise application ecosystem
  • Manage, triage and assign application support tickets using standard ITSM tools
  • Improve and assist in driving the enhancement intake process
  • Manage and work effectively with third party vendors to prioritize their on-going streams of work items
  • Act as a key driver in the team's adherence to scalable and sustainable delivery models and platforms
  • Assist when required in translating complex business requirements into detailed business and technical needs
  • Collaborate regularly with various departments and operational teams to help envision the solution value and long-term benefits
  • Maintain objectivity to provide advisory and technology-based solutions that are aligned and consistent with the business and IT roadmaps
  • Takes responsibility for issues or problems within the function and ensure they are addressed appropriately
  • Review and provide feedback on project or technical documentation and deliverables from the team or third-party providers
  • Document application functionality and training materials and conduct end user training sessions as required
  • Work with team members in professional development and growth

  • Strong functional and technical aptitude for supporting a diverse portfolio of enterprise applications
  • Working knowledge of modern web application development and API technologies (e.g., .NET, Angular, REST APIs) is a strong asset
  • Experience working with Accounting & Finance teams is a strong asset
  • Experience working with NetSuite, Concur and Azure DevOps is an asset
  • Strong focus on quality of work and delivery
  • Understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Excellent ability to grasp complex business requirements and processes
  • Excellent ability to collaborate with all levels within the IT and Business organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills and an ability to manage deliverables across multiple projects and workstreams
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of change management practices
  • Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and accountability
  • Strong team leadership and management capabilities
  • University or post graduate degree in business, computer science or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in leading and managing a team of business/programmer analysts
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in an IT/IS, business process management and/or Application management capacity
