About the Role

The Senior Manager, Project Manager Lead (PM Lead) leads a dedicated delivery Cluster within the SCADA Delivery Center of Excellence. Each Cluster is aligned to a defined set of customer portfolios and geographic regions, giving the PM Lead full end-to-end accountability for delivery, financial performance, and team execution within that scope. Reporting to the VP, Center of Excellence, the PM Lead directly manages a team of Project Managers and serves as the primary point of accountability to customers and internal stakeholders for every project within the Cluster. Where capacity or complexity demands, the PM Lead also steps in to run projects directly as a Project Manager. The role combines delivery leadership, Cluster-level P&L ownership, customer relationship management, team development, process discipline, and cross-functional coordination to drive consistent, high-quality outcomes for our customers and for Power Factors.

Reporting & Organizational Scope

The PM Lead reports to the VP, Center of Excellence and directly manages the Project Managers assigned to the Cluster. The Cluster is the core delivery unit of the SCADA Delivery organization: a dedicated team aligned to specific customer portfolios and geographic regions. Each Cluster is co-led with a Technical Lead, who owns technical solution design and engineering quality, while the PM Lead owns delivery management, financial performance, customer relationships, and team execution. Together they form the senior leadership of the Cluster and are jointly accountable for its overall success.

Responsibilities

Cluster Leadership & Delivery Accountability

  • Lead the assigned PM Cluster (a dedicated organizational unit aligned to specific customer portfolios and geographic regions) with full end-to-end accountability for delivery outcomes, financial performance, and team execution.
  • Define the Cluster's operational priorities, structure workload across the PM team, and ensure the right resources are allocated to the right projects and regions at all times.
  • Partner closely with the Cluster's Technical Lead, who co-leads on the technical side: the PM Lead's accountability covers delivery management, financial performance, customer communication, and team execution, while technical solution ownership, technical quality assurance, and engineering decisions are the Technical Lead's domain. Effective collaboration between the two roles is essential.
  • Serve as the single point of escalation for delivery issues within the Cluster, proactively managing risks before they impact customer commitments across any portfolio or region in scope.
  • Maintain a 6-to-24-month forward-looking plan for the Cluster, identifying resource gaps by portfolio and region, new product requirements, organizational extensions, and local regulatory needs in coordination with Delivery and Product leadership.
  • Ensure all projects within the Cluster are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Monitor Cluster-level KPIs and health metrics across all portfolios and regions; escalate systemic delivery challenges to the VP, Center of Excellence with proposed mitigations.

P&L Ownership & Financial Accountability

  • Own the P&L at project level of the assigned Cluster: track revenue, project margins, costs, and variances across all active and pipeline projects within the Cluster's portfolio and regional scope.
  • Monitor project financial performance on an ongoing basis; identify margin risks early and drive corrective actions (including scope adjustments, resource rebalancing, and Change Order generation) to protect portfolio profitability.
  • Ensure all projects are invoiced on time and in line with contractual milestones; escalate collection issues in coordination with Finance and Customer Success teams.
  • Consolidate and present the Cluster P&L status to the VP, Center of Excellence on a regular basis (at minimum monthly), including actuals vs. budget, forecast to completion, and risk-adjusted margin outlook across all portfolios and regions in scope.
  • Contribute to Cluster-level financial planning and annual budgeting; provide forward-looking revenue and cost estimates based on contracted and pipeline projects across all portfolios and regions in scope.
  • Assess the financial impact of risks, delays, and scope changes; quantify exposure and factor mitigation costs into the portfolio financial forecast.
  • Champion a culture of financial ownership within the PM team: ensure each PM understands their project's financial targets, tracks actuals diligently, and escalates financial risks proactively.

Team Management & Development

  • Directly manage a team of Project Managers: assign portfolios and projects, set performance expectations, conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews, and support professional growth.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to PMs on project delivery best practices, customer communication, financial tracking, risk management, and use of Company tools and processes, coordinating technical coaching with the Cluster's Technical Lead as needed.
  • Identify training needs and facilitate knowledge-sharing across the PM team, including lessons learned from complex projects.
  • Manage team capacity and utilization; balance workload across the PM team to sustain both delivery quality and team wellbeing.
  • Support hiring and onboarding of new PMs in line with portfolio growth and resource planning.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the senior customer-facing representative for all portfolios within the assigned Cluster, building and maintaining trusted relationships with customer executives and key project stakeholders (developers, investors, owners) across all regions in scope.
  • Organize and lead regular portfolio-level review meetings with customers; present program progress, risks, and mitigation plans; and agree on priorities and escalation paths.
  • Facilitate transparent communication between the customer and internal Company teams, ensuring alignment on priorities, contractual commitments, and change orders.
  • In coordination with customers, drive the 6-month resource and delivery plan for contracted projects across the Cluster, adjusting priorities to optimize resource utilization across portfolios and regions.

Project Execution

  • Step in as a hands-on Project Manager for specific projects within the portfolio as needed - particularly for complex, high-risk, or strategically important engagements.
  • When acting as PM: prepare and maintain project plans, budgets, and schedules; manage milestones, invoicing, and scope; coordinate with the Technical Lead on engineering matters and with production, logistics, and subcontractors on operational matters; and close projects with full handover to the Support team.
  • Ensure compliance with Company processes, tools, HSE rules, and quality standards across all directly managed projects.
  • Identify and document out-of-scope tasks; prepare and submit Change Orders to the customer as required.

Process Enforcement & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Enforce the adoption of all agreed Company processes, procedures, and standards across the PM team and the full customer Cluster.
  • Monitor and audit process compliance regularly; identify deviations, address root causes, and implement corrective actions swiftly.
  • Actively contribute to the definition and continuous improvement of delivery processes; translate lessons learned and portfolio-specific insights into concrete process enhancements and ensure their rollout within the team.
  • Maintain close, structured collaboration with the Cluster's Technical Lead: align on project status, risks, resource needs, and customer-facing positions, and jointly escalate issues that span both delivery and technical domains.
  • Cooperate with Sales, Customer Success Managers, Production, Logistics, and IT teams to ensure smooth program execution - engaging the Technical Lead as the point of contact for all technical matters.
  • Participate in PM planning meetings; manage and resolve resource conflicts within the portfolio in coordination with relevant team leads.
  • Supervise outstanding cross-project items beyond individual punch-lists and coordinate resolution with non-delivery Company functions.
  • Prepare regular portfolio status reports and presentations for the VP, Center of Excellence and other senior stakeholders.

Key Targets

  • Delivery performance: all projects within scope delivered on time and within budget across all customer portfolios and regions.
  • P&L health: margin targets met or exceeded across all portfolios and regions; financial risks identified early and mitigated; revenue and invoicing on track per the contractual plan.
  • High customer satisfaction, with particular attention to proactive, high-quality human communication with customer representatives at all levels.
  • Full adoption and consistent enforcement of agreed Company processes and procedures across the PM team.
  • PM team performance: PMs are coached, supported, and meeting their individual project targets.
  • A 6-to-24-month resource and capacity plan maintained for the full Cluster scope, with regional and portfolio-specific gaps identified and escalated well in advance.
  • Cross-functional cooperation within the Company: delivery processes enforced, improved, and consistently applied.
  • Lessons learned captured from complex projects and actively embedded into future delivery practices; discussed with customers where relevant.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in project and/or program management.
  • Experience in the energy, renewables, SCADA, or enterprise-technology sector.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing multiple concurrent projects, or a portfolio of projects, to successful delivery.
  • Experience directly managing or mentoring Project Managers.
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership, ownership, and accountability mindset: a results-driven doer who is passionate about outcomes.
  • Excellent customer-facing communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking; able to see the big picture while managing delivery detail.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills; able to structure and present complex data sets clearly.
  • Proficiency in project-management tools and standard office software.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic, international environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or an equivalent project-management certification.
  • Additional languages beyond English.
