We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our Finance team and take ownership of accounting activities across multiple entities within our international Group.

This role offers a broad accounting agenda, close collaboration with international stakeholders, and the opportunity to contribute to process improvements in a growing renewable energy company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing end-to-end accounting for selected Czech and international entities within the Group
  • Processing and reviewing accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank transactions, fixed assets, payroll journals, VAT journals, and general ledger entries
  • Performing balance sheet reconciliations and managing intercompany transactions, including intercompany loans
  • Preparing and issuing customer invoices, including tax documentation and EU cross-border transactions
  • Overseeing inventory accounting, stock reconciliations, and related reporting activities
  • Taking ownership of monthly and annual closing activities, including accruals, provisions, revaluations, depreciation, and financial statement preparation
  • Collaborating with external accounting firms, auditors, and tax advisors across different countries
  • Preparing statutory and regulatory reports, including VAT, Intrastat, and other reporting requirements
  • Supporting ERP system enhancements, process improvements, and finance-related projects

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3-5+ years of experience in an independent or senior accounting role
  • Strong knowledge of Czech Accounting Standards and financial reporting principles
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and data analysis
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite or Microsoft Business Central
  • Hands-on experience with monthly and annual closing processes, including accruals, provisions, depreciation, and reconciliations
  • Knowledge of VAT, intercompany accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Experience with EU invoicing, import/export transactions, and Intrastat reporting is an advantage
  • Fluent Czech and English, both written and spoken
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within an international team
