Job Description

At Boskalis, our survey teams support some of the world's most complex marine and infrastructure projects. Whether it's dredging, offshore energy or other marine construction activities, accurate survey data is essential to successful project execution.

We are looking for experienced surveyors who are ready to take the next step in their career. Depending on your experience and development stage, you will either take on a leadership role within a survey team or be supported in developing towards a position as Survey Party Chief (for Offshore) or Chief Surveyor (for Dredging).

Your responsibilities as Surveyor

Depending on your experience, you will take responsibility for coordinating survey operations and may lead the survey team on board one of our vessels or project sites. You coordinate survey operations, ensure the delivery of high-quality survey data and act as a key point of contact between the survey team, vessel or project management, and the client.

  • Coordinate and perform survey activities onboard vessels and project sites.
  • Deliver accurate survey data and project deliverables.
  • Support and mentor less experienced surveyors.
  • Maintain high safety and quality standards.
  • Work with advanced survey technologies and software.

Your qualities and experience

You can move ahead as a surveyor if you have:

  • 3+ years of experience in offshore, hydrographic, dredging or marine surveying.
  • Experience with industry-standard survey software such as Qinsy, BeamworX or EIVA.
  • Practical experience with multibeam, GNSS, acoustic positioning and survey data processing.
  • A practical, solution oriented mindset with strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Professional working proficiency in spoken and written English (minimum B2 level).
  • An EU passport due to project locations and visa requirements.

Additionally:

  • You're willing to travel (within Europe, Middle East, Far East) on a fairly regular basis.
  • You're willing to work on rotation schedule: 1:1 for offshore and 6:4 for land based projects.
    Your country or offshore allowances will also be paid during rotational leave periods.
