Recent Developments

In the past two years, Hydro Tasmania has launched a renewable energy offtake tender aimed at integrating wind and solar projects to deliver up to 1,500 GWh/year, which is crucial for maintaining grid reliability amid increasing demand. Additionally, they secured a power purchase agreement for the 288 MW Northern Midlands solar farm in early 2024.
