We are looking for a colleague, who would join the Data Engineering Team and help us develop Data solutions in a cloud based Microsoft Fabric data platform. Advanced data analytics will be one of our key sources of global competitive advantages. Sales, financial, technical, people, smart metering and a lot more of Ignitis group energy data solutions. You will contribute to the creation of a green and secure energy ecosystem by
- Building and maintaining reliable and scalable data pipelines using Python, Airflow, and Microsoft Fabric
- Integrating data from diverse sources (on‑prem, cloud, APIs) into a unified data platform
- Implementing and improving lakehouse / warehouse data models and transformation layers
- Supporting data quality, monitoring, security, and compliance across pipelines and storage
- Collaborating with senior engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions
- Participating in solution design discussions and contributing to production rollouts
- Continuously improving existing pipelines, performance, and data reliability
Required for this position
- 2 - 4 years of experience in data engineering or a closely related role
- Strong SQL and Python skills
- Solid understanding of ETL / ELT, data modeling, and warehouse/lakehouse concepts
- Experience building and maintaining data pipelines using orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow)
- Awareness of data quality, security, and governance best practices
- Ability to work independently on tasks while collaborating effectively within a team
- Motivation to learn, grow technically, and take increasing ownership over time
Would be an advantage
- Experience or familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and/or Microsoft Azure
- Exposure to data governance or data cataloging tools
- Experience working with large‑scale or complex data ecosystems

Salary range for this position group
is 3150 to 4730 EUR (before taxes). The final offer depends on experience and competence. Variable part of remuneration may be paid depending on results.
