What you will do
In this role, you will join a world-class operations team that is working to connect new businesses to our VPP. Reporting to our Energy Markets Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and delivering on innovative ways for distributed energy resources to participate in the electricity markets.
Key aspects of the role include
- Support of utility and customer operations of our battery energy storage portfolio
- Analysing performance of our portfolio within different revenue streams, including energy markets and network tariff savings
- Managing market settlement and reconciliation processes, as well as development of regular reports
- Analysing the market data for Australia and New Zealand to deliver insights to Program Managers
- Analysing electricity meter data from our portfolio of sites
- Providing analytical support and recommendations to Program Managers
- Conducting market analysis for both NEM & WEM energy markets
- Conducting financial analysis for our demand respond and energy portfolios
- Work on the continuous improvement our processes and performance
Key to Success
- Bachelor's degree or higher in technical field such as Engineering, Science, Mathematics or equivalent experience
- Proven aptitude for data led decision-making and problem solving, understands and can communicate the impacts of such choices
- Advanced numerical analysis skillset
- Project management skills including ability to multitask, prioritise, set and meet deadlines, work independently, and perform tasks with emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience with coding and programming languages will be favourable
- Understanding of, and experience in, Australian energy markets is preferred
- Self-motivated, comfortable operating without day-to-day direction
- Ability to work in teams, in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills
