Join our global team as a highly skilled Electrical Designer for Power Transformers (f/m/d), acting as a central hub of expertise and support for Power Transformer and Shunt Reactors engineers in our factories worldwide. Your role is crucial for ensuring our design processes are efficient, reliable, and continuously evolving. You will focus on providing support in applying solutions and guiding engineers, working closely with factories in Brazil, Mexico, and the USA to implement new tools, design rules, and innovative solutions. By connecting factory needs with our R&D development team, you will help shape the next generation of design technology and foster a culture of continuous learning.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Provide quick technical support to product engineers and assist transformer engineers with R&D rules and tools to minimize downtime
  • Conduct pre-release tests of tools in real-world scenarios and provide feedback to developers
  • Improve information flow and facilitate communication between factories, R&D, and other stakeholders, ensuring alignment with factory needs
  • Ensure consistent global quality through structured technology transfer and work on a centralized knowledge hub for engineers
  • Cultivate a community for experts to share knowledge and develop training programs for widespread adoption of best practices
  • Propose improvements for tools and rules based on factory experiences, linking R&D advancements with practical engineering applications

What You Bring

  • A completed degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Longterm experience in Large Power Transformers and Shunt Reactors Design
  • Strong understanding of various transformer and reactor types, including electrical design and calculations for dielectric, electro-magnetic, heating, cooling, and noise
  • Good understanding of transformer components and their interactions, such as the core, windings, insulation, and leads
  • A solid understanding of engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and quality processes, along with experience in technical product development
  • Proficiency in English
