We are looking for our next Director Sales Pulp to lead and optimize Billerud's commercial activities in pulp sales, ensuring a competitive and sustainable pulp sales portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and optimize Billerud's pulp sales activities, ensuring the best possible commercial outcomes through effective market positioning and pricing strategies.
  • Maximize profitability and value creation within the pulp business by continuously identifying opportunities to improve commercial performance, margins, and market competitiveness.
  • Monitor and analyze market developments, customer needs, competitor activities, and regulatory changes, translating insights into actionable business strategies, and sharing knowledge across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain integrated sales plans for pulp, aligning commercial activities with production capabilities, business requirements, and overall company objectives.
  • Drive the development and execution of marketing and commercial strategies, including sales tools, market communication, and go-to-market initiatives in close collaboration with the Marketing team.

Qualifications

  • Deep commercial expertise and a strong industry network, with extensive knowledge of the global pulp market, key customers, industry trends, and competitive dynamics.
  • Demonstrated success in senior commercial or industry-related roles, including at least 5 years of relevant experience within the pulp, paper, forest products, or adjacent industries.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • University degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Forestry, or a related field.
  • Experience in international business environments and negotiations.
  • Strong understanding of sales, and market development within the pulp value chain.
  • Demonstrated record of delivering profitable growth and strengthening customer partnerships.

  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to identify growth opportunities, develop long-term commercial strategies, and translate market insights into business results.
  • Proven leadership capabilities, with a track record of building high-performing teams, fostering collaboration across functions, and creating a positive, results-oriented culture.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the flexibility and resilience to lead through change, influence senior decision-makers, and build trusted relationships internally and externally.
