We are looking for a talented O&M Mechanical Site Engineer to be site-based for a cluster of Solar PV plants located across the Kozani and Grevena areas of Western Macedonia. You will join our growing Operations & Maintenance team successfully maintaining 300 megawatts (MW), and gladly adding more to this portfolio. Your contribution to the energy transition

As our O&M Site Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing the day-to-day operation and maintenance activities of the utility-scale PV plants within the regional cluster, with particular focus on tracker systems, mounting structures and associated mechanical infrastructure.The role reports to the O&M Site Manager. The cluster of projects comprise of PV plants located across the Kozani and Grevena areas of Western Macedonia. This is a site-based role requiring regular travel between the plants within the cluster, as well as participation in the applicable on-call and emergency-response rota.

You can look forward to the following tasks:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections and troubleshooting on tracker systems, mounting structures and associated mechanical infrastructure, in accordance with the Facility Operation Plan (FOP), approved procedures and OEM instructions
  • Work closely with Control Room personnel and Electrical Site Engineers to respond to alarms, investigate faults and coordinate timely corrective actions and escalation
  • Coordinate site services, subcontractors and OEM service teams, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time and to the required quality standards
  • Support electrical activities where safe, permitted and within demonstrated competence, under the direction of an authorized Electrical Engineer, excluding switching, isolation, electrical testing and other activities requiring specific authorization
  • Support spare-parts and warranty-claim activities and maintain accurate work orders, maintenance records, inspection results and technical documentation
  • Ensure compliance with HSE, permit-to-work and LOTO requirements, participate in the on-call and emergency-response rota, and support different PV plants across the regional cluster according to operational needs

Your energy is required

You impress us with these qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the construction, commissioning, operation or maintenance of PV plants, power plants or comparable industrial assets
  • Experience in utility-scale PV O&M will be considered a strong advantage
  • Ability to interpret drawings, layouts, OEM manuals, maintenance instructions and technical procedures
  • Experience with MV/HV substations, grid connection and protection systems, utility-scale inverter and tracker technologies, plant performance analysis, root-cause analysis, and MV switching operations; MV switching authorization is an advantage
  • Good IT skills and familiarity with MS Office and digital maintenance, ticketing or reporting systems
  • Ability to remain in control and perform effectively under pressure and with limited supervision
  • Good administrative, communication and reporting skills; team-oriented approach
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English and fluent Greek
  • Valid driving license
