You'll work across multiple workstreams, coordinating resources from IT, the wider business and third-party suppliers, while applying Waterfall, Agile or Hybrid delivery methodologies as appropriate.

You'll play a key role in overcoming challenges, managing risks, engaging stakeholders and ensuring teams remain aligned to project objectives and delivery plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects and small change initiatives from requirements definition through to deployment and handover.
  • Manage and deliver the end-to-end migration of Calisen's on-premises Oracle Database and Oracle Forms application to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, coordinating technical teams, stakeholders and third-party suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Define project scope, budgets, resources, timescales and implementation plans.
  • Deliver projects to agreed time, cost and quality objectives using Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid methodologies.
  • Manage and coordinate project resources, balancing competing priorities across teams and suppliers.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across IT and the wider business to drive engagement and successful delivery.
  • Negotiate technical and commercial matters with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Identify, manage and mitigate risks, issues and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor and control project progress against agreed plans and governance frameworks.
  • Produce and communicate project plans, status reports, business cases, steering committee packs and other project documentation.
  • Promote project management best practice and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the Change function.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience managing IT projects through the full lifecycle, from initiation and planning through to operational readiness and handover.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing project resources.
  • Strong track record of delivering projects to scope, budget and timescale.
  • Experience managing project reporting, governance, risks and stakeholder communications.
  • Ability to overcome resistance to change and influence colleagues across both IT and the wider business.
  • Practical experience working within Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid delivery environments.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement both within projects and across wider business processes.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies and governance.
  • Technical awareness of software development and infrastructure environments.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Ability to balance time, cost and quality when delivering business solutions.
  • Strong documentation skills, including business cases, options papers, cost-benefit analysis and project reporting.
  • Proven risk management and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure DevOps would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is desirable.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, IT or a related discipline is desirable.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum Master, Lean Six Sigma or Project Management qualifications are advantageous.

Personal Attributes

  • A confident and adaptable communicator who can tailor their approach to different audiences.
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise effectively under pressure.
  • Proactive, resilient and solutions-focused.
  • Comfortable managing and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Collaborative, supportive and motivated by delivering successful outcomes.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accountability.
