We are seeking an innovative and dynamic Director of Business Development to lead our sales efforts to home builders and developers in the Mid-Atlantic at Dandelion.

In this pivotal role, you will be a critical part of the new team delivering Dandelion’s growth with new construction production developers and other large scale B2B opportunities. Get a rapid jumpstart supporting leadership’s existing customer pipeline while simultaneously building your own book of business. Expect to work directly with department leadership to shape and implement the growth of our new construction team and offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Build and Expand Networks with Home Builders:
    • Establish and nurture relationships with top home builders across the Mid-Atlantic to create and secure sales opportunities.
    • Actively attend industry and regional events to engage with potential clients and strengthen your professional network.
    • Leverage Dandelion’s existing connections to discover new opportunities and deepen relationships within established accounts, ensuring a steady flow of new business leads.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Engineering Team to Develop Winning Proposals:
    • Work hand-in-hand with our sales engineering team to craft compelling and technically sound proposals that meet client needs.
    • Gather and analyze technical information from accounts to specify designs that align with client expectations and Dandelion’s strategic goals.
    • Ensure that each project design is not only innovative but also profitable for Dandelion, balancing technical requirements with financial viability.
    • Collaborate with accounts to understand and incorporate their financial requirements, creating proposals that are both competitive and feasible.
  • Work with the Policy Team to Optimize Rebates:
    • Stay informed about available rebates for projects in the pipeline, ensuring that clients are aware of all potential financial benefits.
    • Communicate rebate details clearly and effectively to clients, building their confidence in incorporating these benefits into their financial planning and proposals.
  • Achieve and Surpass Sales Targets:
    • Consistently meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets, demonstrating exceptional drive and determination.
    • Close deals that match or exceed your booking targets, contributing significantly to Dandelion’s growth and success.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience in an enterprise sales role
  • Track record of successfully meeting and exceeding quota
  • Experience working in a startup environment
  • Bachelors degree from a four year university (honors always recognized!)
