Job Description

GOLDBECK SOLAR is a leading provider of turnkey solar systems on commercial roofs and ground mounted utility scale PV power plants. With our team of dedicated employees, we develop, plan, build, operate and finance photovoltaic systems in Germany, Europe and worldwide - tailor-made with a standardized approach.

What you can expect

Join us in shaping the energy transition! As Team Lead Category Manager (m/f/d) for Electrical Components, you will take strategic ownership of a key product group central to our energy and infrastructure projects. In this role, you will drive the development of sourcing strategies, manage critical supplier relationships, and lead a dedicated team to ensure optimal performance across quality, cost, and innovation.

Tasks

  • Strategically develop and expand the category “Electrical Components” (e.g., inverters, cabling, protection systems, connectors, transformers, SCADA, CCTV, HV/MV grid connection, BESS, etc.)
  • Define and implement sourcing strategies with a strong focus on quality, cost-efficiency, and sustainability
  • Lead contract negotiations and conclude framework, pricing, and other relevant supplier agreements
  • Select, evaluate, and develop suppliers in close collaboration with Engineering and Quality departments
  • Conduct market, supplier, and competitor analyses to identify new procurement markets and potential partners
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Project Management, and Logistics – while managing and continuously developing your own team

Profile

  • Degree or several years of professional experience in the field of business management with focus on purchasing and/or electrical engineering
  • Experience in the renewable industry, power transmission and/or supply chain
  • Strong expertise in electrical components and systems
  • Proven experience in global sourcing projects and supplier management
  • Business-fluent English skills; German is a plus
  • Independent, structured, and proactive working style
  • Strong analytical thinking and cost-awareness
  • Skilled negotiator with a high degree of business acumen and strategic mindset
