Job Description
SELCO Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that drives the use of decentralized renewable energy (DRE) to improve livelihoods, health, and education outcomes in under-served communities across India. Through innovation, ecosystem building, and research, the Foundation demonstrates how sustainable energy can be a catalyst for inclusive development and climate resilience.
SELCO Foundation is establishing a centralized Control Room to monitor and analyse Remote Monitoring System (RMS) data from decentralized solar-powered livelihood systems deployed across rural regions in various geographies in India. The initiative aims to strengthen solar system reliability, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making for livelihood programs. To ensure effective coordination between field teams, RMS vendors, and the analytics team, the Foundation seeks a project co-ordinator for RMS Operations and Analytics.
Key Responsibilities
A. RMS Device Installation tracking and co-ordination
- Manage order, dispatch and delivery of RMS devices between manufacturer and installation vendor by acting as a primary Point of Contact (PoC).
- Provide on-field training on RMS device installations process to installation partners.
- Track all RMS installations by installation partners through WhatsApp groups and update the online tracker.
- Support in pre- and post-installation IP ping tests to verify data connectivity during installations. Also verify the installation connection by checking data flow.
- Communicate any device or dashboard issues to the respective vendors and track resolutions. Log, report and manage rectification/replacement for meters with issues/fault.
B. RMS Dashboard and Analytics
- Support the team in dashboard design, data cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Collect and compile required data from program and field teams for dashboard development.
- Prepare bi-weekly reports on installation progress, device health and dashboard update to share with RMS vendor for dashboard update.
- Support team in developing report for obtaining insights from RMS data. Support in documenting the learnings on solar system functioning through RMS analysis.
- Share periodic reports on system functioning, key metrics and follow-up on issue rectification update.
Field Visits: Regular field visits to check the functional status, build capacity of the local team to manage the operations and maintenance of the RMS solution provided.Additional Support: Raise Material request; Provide dashboard-related training to field staff; verify installation and asset handover reports.Support any additional assignments as directed by the Supervisor/Manager.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Electronics, or related field), Data analytics or any related discipline.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in technical operations, remote monitoring systems, or data analytics roles preferred
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and data management software's.
- Understanding of energy flow in renewable energy systems.
- Knowledge of R/Python for data analytics can be an added advantage.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and coordination skills for managing multiple stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and structured work approach.
- Ability to travel for field visits.
- Motivation to learn new technology and analytical skills
