Job Description
As a Lead Construction (m/f/d) - EMEA Region you will oversee the construction activities for Solar projects, including ground-mounted, tracker, floating PV, for BESS projects (Battery Energy Storage Systems), and for Wind projects across the EMEA region.
This role is open to experienced candidates on this role, ideally from our office in Munich, otherwise from within Germany.
What You Will Do
- You will lead regional construction strategies across Wind, Solar, and BESS projects, ensuring alignment with corporate and functional goals
- You will supervise the execution of construction activities across EMEA
- You will act as the primary interface with Country Construction Leads to ensure consistency in execution, standards, and reporting
- You will ensure alignment of construction practices across projects and countries, fostering standardization and scalability
- You will monitor adherence to construction standards, HSEQ, and quality frameworks across the region
- You will track regional construction KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives
- You will collaborate closely with the Team Lead On-site Construction to ensure seamless coordination between strategic planning and on-site execution
- You will lead the resource planning and allocation of Construction Managers in collaboration with the Construction Management pool
- You will take a hands-on approach to construction activities, with regular travel to construction sites expected
- You will represent the Construction function in regional forums and project governance structures
What you'll need to succeed
- 10+ years of experience in construction management or project execution in the renewable energy sector (Wind and Solar, BESS is advantageous)
- An Engineering degree (Electrical, Civil) or equivalent knowledge is advantageous
- Relevant work experience in managing international Construction sites, with a hands-on experience
- Proven experience in regional or multi-country coordination roles
- Strong understanding of construction execution, HSEQ, and quality management.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strategic mindset with the ability to drive alignment across diverse teams and geographies.
- Assertive, communicative, and team-oriented with a structured approach to work
- Fluency in English; additional regional languages are a plus
- Willingness to travel extensively across the EMEA region
