We're looking for a SCADA Project Manager to help turn wind turbines into fully operational power plants.

Vestas Technology & Operations (VTO) is the integrated CTO and COO organization within Vestas, encompassing the full industrial value chain - from Research & Development, Procurement and Manufacturing to Supply Chain and Quality. VTO's mission is to transform the way Vestas engineers, sources, contracts, manufactures and delivers its products to consistently meet the highest standards for quality, cost efficiency and time-to-market.

The SCADA Project Management team is a key part of the lifecycle of wind power plant projects, from sales through to the service phase. Our purpose is to integrate groups of wind turbines into fully operational power plants that run efficiently while meeting contractual and regional requirements.

We primarily work with large power supply companies and professional investors, ensuring their wind energy assets perform optimally and deliver sustainable value.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the bridge between the project engineering team and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and swift resolution of technical issues for seamless project execution
  • Continuously identify, assess, and mitigate risks while leveraging opportunities to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope
  • Manage project deliverables aligned with strategic priorities and targets, including quality, schedule, and HSE compliance, throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure business success and customer satisfaction through professional project and stakeholder management while maximizing value for Vestas
  • Consistently contribute to internal process improvement initiatives within the SCADA Project Management and Plant Engineering team
  • Collect and analyze market requirements to support Product Management and Development efforts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in applied sciences, Engineering, or Business Administration
  • Experience in wind industry, product development, or relevant applications
  • Project Management training or certifications such as PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, Six Sigma Green Belt, or ITIL 4 Foundation is beneficial
  • Knowledge and on-the-job experience with project management methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA)
  • Proficiency in stakeholder management, ensuring effective collaboration across teams and organizations
  • Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken
  • A valid driver's license is an advantage, as the role involves occasional travel to wind farm sites
