Job Description

Do you want to gain experience with an international group in one of the well-known companies in the Wind Power Industry? This job is for you! Join Vestas as a Site Supervisor.

The Installation Department East is responsible for the installation and commissioning of all wind farm projects from start to completion within our East cluster, which includes Romania, Ukraine, Croatia, and other countries in the region where business is under development. The team takes responsibility for a wind farm once the contract is signed and remains responsible until the final tests are completed. Based on-site in the East Cluster, and working closely with the Site Manager, Logistics, Purchasing, and Finance departments, as well as subcontractors, the Site Supervisor will supervise field activities to ensure safety, quality, and planning standards are met while providing technical assistance.

Responsibilities

As part of the team managed by the Site Manager, the Site Supervisor will be responsible for:

  • Respecting and being accountable for safety and quality on-site
  • Supervising lifting operations, wind turbine preparation, and inspections
  • Follow-up work inside the wind turbine at all Vestas wind parks under assembly
  • Ensuring the quality guarantee, reporting any non-compliance, and creating punch lists during wind turbine installation
  • Ensuring proper unloading of components: inspection, repairs of the wind turbine during installation, and work inside the tower
  • Reporting on safety, cost planning, quality improvement, and deviations

Qualifications

  • High school degree +2/3 years in construction management or an equivalent field
  • 1-2 years of experience in site and team management
  • Knowledge of safety, management procedures, delivery stations, electrical instruments, cells, and APIs; understanding of technical documents
  • Experience in the wind sector is valuable

Competencies

  • Fluency in Romanian and English (both spoken and written) is essential
  • Organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • High diligence in maintaining a safe working environment and crisis management
  • Leadership and team skills
  • Ability to prioritize and focus in stressful situations
