Join Axpo Solar/Urbasolar in Italy to accelerate the energy transition. You'll shape grid connections for utility-scale PV plants, work across Europe, and collaborate with diverse experts who value innovation, teamwork, and impact.
What you will do
- MV Stations Design: Review and approve technical offers for MV transformers and delivery stations, ensuring compliance with project requirements and grid regulations.
- HV Substation Management: Define technical specifications for HV substations, manage engineering/construction contracts, and lead commissioning processes.
- HV/MV Grid Connection Line Management: Coordinate grid connection works, supervise contracts, and secure permits with DSOs/TSOs.
- PV Plant Electrical Systems: Support MV electrical integration, lead commissioning, and obtain permits for PV plants.
- General Coordination & Compliance: Manage DSO/TSO relationships, ensure compliance with grid codes, and oversee technical portals.
- Development & Strategic Support: Validate technical parameters for new projects, develop interconnection strategies, and evaluate project risks.
- Process Improvement & Coordination: Enhance reporting tools, drive design improvements, and coordinate grid connection procedures across project zones.
What you bring & who you are
- Must-have qualifications:
- Technical degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 8+ years of experience in renewable energy grid connection or working with Italian grid operators.
- Expertise in MV/HV electrical design, Italian Grid Code, and DSO/TSO procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and electrical simulation software (e.g., DigSilent, Etap).
- Nice-to-have skills:
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Leadership and adaptability in dynamic environments.
- Analytical mindset with excellent communication abilities.
- Creativity and customer-oriented approach.
