What They Do

Arcosa Wind Towers specializes in the manufacturing of tubular steel wind turbine towers, focusing on the wind energy value chain. The company operates within Arcosa, Inc.'s Engineered Structures segment, which also includes utility and telecom structures. Projects & Track Record

Arcosa Wind Towers has established a robust track record in the wind energy sector, with significant order intake and backlog growth. The company has expanded its manufacturing capacity, notably with the new facility in Belen, New Mexico, which is designed to serve major clients like GE Vernova and support wind projects across the western United States. In 2023 and 2024, Arcosa reported multi-hundred-million dollar orders for wind towers, reflecting a strong demand for their products as part of a multi-year upcycle in the wind sector (source: investmentclub.nd.edu). While specific project names and capacities are often disclosed by clients, Arcosa's earnings reports indicate a solid backlog of wind tower orders that are crucial for fulfilling commitments to turbine OEMs (source: sec.gov).

Recent Developments

In 2024, Arcosa announced a significant acquisition agreement to purchase Stavola's construction materials business for $1.2 billion, which underscores its strategy for growth and diversification within the construction products sector while maintaining its core capabilities in engineered structures, including wind towers (source: ir.arcosa.com). The company also hires for engineering roles focused on structural and project engineering, as well as supply chain and logistics positions. With multiple manufacturing sites across the U.S., including the new facility in New Mexico, Arcosa is actively seeking talent to support its growing operations (source: arcosa.com).
