Your Missions
We are looking for an Automation & SCADA Engineer, under the O&M Performance team, that will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing SCADA, automation, and monitoring systems, ensuring high plant availability and performance across our utility-scale solar assets.
The main responsibilities include:
- Maintain and troubleshoot automation, control, and SCADA systems for utility-scale solar plants.
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance, reliability studies, and failure analysis.
- Optimize existing automation and monitoring systems, ensuring integration of new and legacy equipment.
- Troubleshoot PLCs, plant controllers, PPC, EMS, communication networks, and field devices (inverters, meters, trackers, sensors, relays).
- Monitor plant performance, alarms, and events; support rapid fault diagnosis and production recovery.
- Perform specialized on-site technical assessments and provide remote troubleshooting.
- Contribute to maintenance process improvements and best-practice implementation.
- Participate in SAT, commissioning, start-up, performance testing, and project handover activities.
- Act as a technical interface between EPC contractors and O&M teams; review SCADA designs from an O&M perspective.
- Ensure compliance with grid codes, contractual requirements, and cybersecurity standards.
- Support improvements to SCADA, monitoring, and reporting systems.
- Deliver technical training and workshops.
Qualifications & Experiences
The ideal candidate will be/have:
- Degree/Master in Electrical, Electronics or Automation Engineering;
- Strong experience with SCADA, remote-control, and data-acquisition systems;
- Solid troubleshooting skills for electronics, automation, and communication systems;
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and automation schematics;
- Experience with PLCs, PPC, EMS, and grid-compliance systems;
- Knowledge of solar PV O&M, power plant commissioning, or other renewable technologies (wind, biomass, hydro);
- Familiarity with major inverter brands (SMA, Sungrow, Huawei, FIMER, Power Electronics);
- AutoCAD proficiency for electrical/automation drawing;
- Basic scripting/data analysis with Python, Rust, Node.js, SQL-based databases (MSQL, PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, InfluxDB), or similar;
- Advanced MS Office skills;
- Strong written and spoken English (mandatory);
- Ability to travel internationally on short notice.
