Job Description

GOLDBECK SOLAR is a leading provider of turnkey solar systems on commercial roofs and ground mounted utility scale PV power plants. With our team of dedicated employees, we develop, plan, build, operate and finance photovoltaic systems in Germany, Europe and worldwide - tailor-made with a standardized approach.

We are entering an exciting new phase of growth in Italy and are looking for an experienced Technical Expert (m/f/d) to support the development and execution of our renewable energy projects. In this key role, you will act as the main technical reference for our Italian operations, contributing to the successful delivery of utility-scale PV, BESS, and Agri-PV projects from pre-construction through execution. The position offers the opportunity to take ownership of strategic technical activities within a fast-growing international environment, with strong potential to grow into a Technical Director role.

Tasks

  • Act as the technical reference point for the Italian subsidiary across EPC and project-related activities
  • Review and analyze EPC tender documentation, permitting files, and grid connection documentation
  • Coordinate and supervise post-permitting and pre-construction activities together with developers, customers, and engineering partners
  • Supervise grid connection activities and subcontractors for MV/HV infrastructure and ensure alignment with project requirements
  • Support the selection and coordination of subcontractors, engineering firms, and specialized technical consultants
  • Supervise Site Managers during construction and support the coordination of project execution activities
  • Support the sales and technical teams with technical inputs for EPC offers, scope definition, and Bills of Quantities
  • Ensure compliance with technical standards, permitting prescriptions, quality requirements, and project specifications
  • Identify technical constraints, project risks, and execution requirements during project preparation and implementation
  • Carry out occasional site visits and inspections within Italy

Profile

  • Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Energy, Civil, or similar)
  • More than 7 years of experience in the renewable energy or EPC sector in Italy
  • Strong experience with utility-scale PV and/or BESS projects, including engineering and construction activities
  • Solid understanding of Italian permitting procedures and regulatory frameworks (AU, PAUR, PAS, VIA, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of MV/HV infrastructure and grid connection processes for renewable energy projects
  • Previous experience as Site Manager, Construction Manager, or in a similar technical coordination role is considered an advantage
  • Ability to review and interpret complex technical, permitting, and grid connection documentation
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across multiple project interfaces
  • Proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and structured working approach
  • Fluent in English and Italian
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD
  • Availability for remote work combined with short business trips within Italy
