Imagine a future where you will impact performance of our operational portfolio, consisting of Wind, Solar, and BESS generating facilities.
Join us in this role where you'll provide technical leadership to our operations and engineering team, offering expert guidance on power generation, transmission, and collection system operations as a technical subject matter expert (SME). This encompasses overseeing design retrofits, development of strategic initiatives to optimize performance of all facility high voltage (HV) assets. You'll help ensure our regulatory standards and company requirements are rigorously adhered to as well as being the SME for assigned regulatory codes toward ISO's, NERC and other regulatory parties.
You'll be part of Transmission where you, together with your colleagues will work as a member of a regional compliance and HV operations, incorporating and adapting global best practices to regional compliance and reliability. You will have immediate impact supporting our local operations field teams, assisting in outage mitigation (unplanned) and long-term strategic planning for HV operations. As a team, we In Operations Engineering create value through establishing good engaging relationships with various stakeholders while encouraging each other and collaborating as a team.
You'll play an important role in
- model validation (PSSE/PSCAD/TSAT) project management
- conducting root cause analysis of failures, propose improvements to mitigate
- clarifying operations HV scope requirements and providing feedback to EPC
- Conducting design reviews for new projects in concert with EPC team.
- Solve technical issues together with global SME's and OEM's
- Maintaining relationships with regional independent system operators, transmission planners, and others to ensure regulatory compliance adherence.
To succeed in the role, you
- understand dynamic system modelling and modelling software
- are well versed in NERC/ISO requirements as they relate to HV engineering
- are comfortable with conducting event analysis on HV power systems through the use of symmetrical components as needed.
- are comfortable with relay/RTU settings software (GE, ABB, SEL relays and SEL RTAC)
- have excellent interpersonal communications skills as you will be working with both internal and external stakeholders as part of a dynamic team.

Position salary range
The salary range for this position is $176,067.00 to $195,619.00.
Our salary ranges are based on position level and reflect the cost of labor across multiple U.S geographic markets. Individual pay with the range is determined by work location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can provide more details about the applicable salary range during the hiring process.
Variable Compensation
Our total rewards package may include discretionary short-term and long-term incentive opportunities based on your pay band and performance. These may be changed or suspended based on the sole discretion of the company
