Boralex has been providing renewable and affordable energy for over 30 years. The Group, composed of more than 800 employees, operates renewable assets with an installed capacity of over 3 GW and is developing a project portfolio of 6.8 GW in wind, solar, and energy storage.
As a strategic subject-matter expert in brand governance, the Senior Brand Specialist is accountable for shaping and structuring Boralex's brand to increase its impact, and for defining, communicating, and enforcing global brand standards. The objective is to deliver a consistent, rigorous, and sustainable brand experience across all markets and touchpoints.
You will play an important role in
Brand strategy and governance
- Lead the ongoing evolution of the brand strategy in alignment with business priorities.
- Build and continuously improve global brand guidelines, visual standards, and governance frameworks
- Act as the brand guardian by ensuring compliance and consistency across all touchpoints (digital, print, and internal).
- Identify and mitigate brand dilution and reputational risks in a decentralized environment.
- Define and continuously improve the customer journey to ensure a consistent brand experience aligned with established standards.
Brand assets and tools
- Develop, maintain, and enhance corporate brand assets (tools, templates, layouts, and visual systems).
- Ensure these tools enable teams to apply the brand consistently while reducing deviations.
- Provide hands-on support, as required, to adjust, correct, or realign brand usage
Creative direction and partner management
- Provide creative direction for major corporate initiatives to ensure alignment with the brand framework.
- Manage creative agencies and external partners from briefing through final approval of deliverables.
- Serve as the primary point of reference for external partners on brand standards, interpretation, and application.
Brand performance and insights
- Track brand awareness, recognition, and perception.
- Coordinate consistency across brand-related market research studies company-wide.
- Analyze data and insights to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Tools, technology, and artificial intelligence
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency with Adobe Suite, Canva, the Microsoft suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams), and Microsoft Copilot.
- Integrate AI tools responsibly into brand processes by setting guardrails that ensure quality, consistency, and compliance across deliverables.
- Stay current on relevant practices and tools in brand governance and brand consistency.
To succeed in this position, you need
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, design, brand strategy, or a related field.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in brand identity, corporate branding, or brand governance.
- Proven experience working with global B2B brands, within structured governance frameworks, and managing agencies and external stakeholders.
- Experience in a complex, matrix, multi-jurisdictional environment (strong asset).
- Strong ability to enforce and protect a brand in a decentralized environment.
- Influential leadership style, strong collaboration skills, and solid professional credibility.
- Structured, rigorous, and pragmatic approach, paired with strong execution skills.
- Strong understanding of the customer journey and the overall brand experience. Proficiency with digital, collaboration, and AI tools.
