Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Operational Technology (OT) Architect - Technical Authority to define, govern, and evolve the OT architecture across our renewable energy portfolio.
A Technical Authority is expected to:
- Own architecture and standards across the domain
- Act as escalation point for complex system decisions
- Drive roadmap alignment and governance
- Ensure competence development and consistency across teams
This is not only a design role. You will act as a technical authority for SCADA and OT systems, setting standards, guiding engineering teams, and ensuring consistent, high-quality solutions across projects and assets.
You will play a central role in building and developing technical competencies within Operational Technology in BA Wind, ensuring that our solutions are robust, secure, and scalable while enabling operational excellence.
Your Responsibilities
As a Senior OT Architect / Technical Authority, you will:
Architecture & Governance
- Define, maintain, and enforce the OT architecture strategy for SCADA and automation systems
- Establish and govern reference architectures, standards, and design principles across all assets
- Act as the technical escalation point for complex system and integration decisions
- Ensure alignment of architectures across projects, assets, and business units
Technical Authority & Capability Building
- Act as Technical Authority for SCADA and OT systems, ensuring consistency and quality of engineering deliverables
- Guide, coach, and challenge engineering teams to improve technical solutions and design decisions
- Drive competence development within OT engineering teams (methods, tools, best practices)
- Translate complex technical topics into clear guidance for both engineers and stakeholders
Engineering & Delivery Support
- Lead the design and integration of Level 1 SCADA systems from major OEMs (Siemens, Vestas, GE, Nordex)
