Imagine a future where you ensure offshore wind farms deliver stable, compliant, and reliable power to the grid.
Join us in this role where you'll help protect Ørsted's power generation assets by strengthening availability, reliability and security of SCADA and Control systems. You'll focus on incident management, reactive and proactive maintenance ensuring operational and security measures to support safe and continuous operations without compromising uptime.
You'll join the OT SCADA & Control team, responsible for the operations engineering of SCADA and control systems across offshore wind farms. The team plays a key role in ensuring the availability, reliability, and cybersecurity of operational technology systems supporting renewable energy production. We work closely with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and asset teams to support incident management, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive maintenance, cybersecurity improvements, and lifecycle management of SCADA platforms across multiple wind turbine technologies.
You'll play an important role in
- leading advanced troubleshooting and root cause investigations related to WTG SCADA and control systems across offshore wind assets
- acting as a technical mentor for junior engineers and supporting knowledge sharing within the team
- performing corrective and preventive maintenance activities on operational SCADA and control systems
- driving initiatives to improve system reliability, availability, and operational performance across the fleet
- coordinating and collaborating with internal stakeholders, OEMs, vendors, and service providers to ensure stable and secure system operations
- supporting lifecycle, cybersecurity, and business improvement projects related to OT infrastructure and SCADA environments
- supporting intake and integration of new assets while ensuring system availability, reliability, and cybersecurity standards are met.
To succeed in this role, you
- have an academic degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience
- have experience working with WTG OEM SCADA systems such as Siemens Gamesa, Vestas, GE, or similar platforms
- possess a strong electrical engineering background with knowledge of WTG plant control systems and their configuration
- have strong knowledge of OT/industrial networking and communication principles
- have experience with cybersecurity in operational technology environments
- are familiar with cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as IEC 62443 and ISO 27001
- have experience with debugging and reconfiguration of SCADA and control systems, which will be considered an advantage
- demonstrate a structured, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to lead technical troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives
- speak and write English fluently, as we operate in an international environment.
