Job Description

Are you ready to take the lead in shaping how offshore/ repair projects are engineered and executed? In this role, you will be at the heart of complex offshore projects that directly contribute to the energy transition, ensuring safe, efficient and high‑quality delivery of offshore engineering scopes that connect the green power of tomorrow.

Offshore Engineering Team

The Offshore Engineering team is responsible for translating repair and smaller installation project requirements into safe and executable offshore solutions. Based in Rotterdam, the team supports cable installation and repair projects worldwide, working closely with project managers, tender teams, installation crews, vessel operators, subcontractors and clients. Role Content

You balance resources across projects, aligning competence and availability with delivery priorities, while maintaining consistent engineering ways of working. You act as a key technical interface towards project managers, tender teams, installation teams, clients and subcontractors, ensuring that engineering scopes are well understood and aligned. When projects move into execution, you support engineering readiness, vessel and equipment interfaces and, where needed, provide hands‑on support during offshore campaigns, troubleshooting technical challenges and capturing lessons learned to continuously improve future projects.

What you bring to the team

To succeed in this role, you combine strong offshore engineering expertise with natural leadership and a collaborative mindset.

  • A BSc or MSc in Maritime Technology, Naval Architecture, Offshore Engineering or a similar discipline
  • Extensive experience in offshore engineering, subsea cable installation, repair or marine operations, including leading engineering activities across project phases
  • Solid understanding of offshore methods, vessel and equipment interfaces, installation and repair procedures, technical documentation and risk assessments
  • Proven ability to coordinate teams, plan resources and coach engineers in their professional development
  • Strong analytical nature and communicational skills, enabling you to align technical topics with diverse internal and external stakeholders
