Job Description
In your new position as Senior Director, Service, you will lead an established and diverse service organisation while driving the next phase of growth and transformation. You will be responsible for strengthening competitiveness, expanding existing customer relationships and developing new business opportunities across both traditional energy markets and emerging areas such as decommissioning, PtX and CCUS.
At Semco Maritime, our Service business is a key part of the Transitional Energies division. Through electrical and mechanical workshops, maintenance and field services, rope access and decommissioning activities, we support customers across the industrial and energy sectors in maintaining critical assets, improving operational reliability and executing complex service projects safely and efficiently.
We are now looking for an experienced Senior Director to take overall responsibility for a business area of approximately 160 employees spanning workshop operations, field service activities and onshore/offshore project execution.
The role requires a leader who can combine strategic thinking with operational execution and commercial drive. While the organization is firmly rooted in its operational delivery capabilities, you will also work across locations and markets to support collaboration, consistency and continued business growth in an international environment.
The Transitional Energies division consists of approximately 900 employees and you will be reporting to the Senior Vice President, Transitional Energies, where you will become part of the division leadership team. Your place of work will be at our Global HQ located in Esbjerg and you can expect travel days.

Your tasks & responsibilities
Your tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Driving profitable growth and strengthening the market position across all service activities
- Holding overall responsibility for P&L, budgeting, forecasting and business performance
- Leading and developing a multi-layer management organisation with approximately 160 employees
- Ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality execution across workshops, service operations and project activities
- Driving organisational development, scalability and operational excellence across the business
- Supporting commercial development and maintaining strong relationships with key customers and strategic partners
- Identifying and developing new service offerings and business opportunities across the industrial and energy sectors
- Contributing actively to the overall strategy and growth agenda of the Transitional Energies division
- Supporting and adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards, in all activities
Your profile & qualifications
We are looking for a commercially minded and operationally strong leader with proven experience from a comparable service business.
To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:
- a minimum of 8 years' leadership experience from a larger service business, preferably at Director or Senior Director level
- a solid experience leading complex businesses with responsibility for people, operations and financial performance
- a strong commercial acumen and a proven track record of delivering profitable growth
- experience leading leaders and developing scalable organisations
- a strong safety mindset and a visible leadership approach
- an ability to translate strategy into operational and commercial results
- experience working across functions, locations and stakeholders in a complex business environment
