Job Description
The Service Technician I will work closely with the Director of Field Operations, Commissioning & Warranty Manager, and other Service Technicians to ensure that the customer's needs are satisfied appropriately and timely. The successful candidate must be willing to travel up to 90% of a given calendar year. As a Service Technician I, you must be willing and able to learn the intricacies of Array's tracker portfolio, work in a team environment, and aid in retrofits, commissioning, and repowering efforts.
Key Job Responsibilities
Support field efforts on the following, but not limited to:
- Retrofits
- Repowering
- Commissioning
- Service Repairs
- Ensure tools and equipment needed during a variety of field-related efforts are operating properly
- Managing Concur's expense reporting system
- Submit Field Service Reports on daily activities
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Willingness for extensive, frequent travel - up to 90%
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Experience using basic hand tools
- Basic math skills
- Entry-level knowledge of mechanical systems
- Entry-level knowledge of electrical systems
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong customer-facing presence
- Dexterity required to perform manual labor in extreme temperatures
Preferred Qualifications
- Utility-scale solar experience
- Utility-scale construction knowledge
- Entry-level Microsoft Office Suite experience
- Entry-level Salesforce experience
- Experience with Mechanical and Electrical tools
- OSHA 10 or Higher - Preferred
- NFPA 70E - Preferred
Physical Demands
- Lifting requirements: 50lbs
- Standing hours: 75%
- Computer hours: 25%
