As a team, we collaborate closely, share expertise, and foster a supportive and solution-focused environment.
You'll play an important role in:
- managing Transmission Network Control for maintenance and ancillary services.
- liaising with critical stakeholders, including TSO, DNO, OFTO, and O&M providers.
- preparing and implementing switching programmes for maintenance works across Offshore Generations and Transmission assets.
- executing safe operation and escalation of alarms (SCS, protection, SCADA, LV, utility) and initial incident handling.
- gaining and maintaining specialist technical knowledge to support teams across regions and platforms.
To succeed in the role, you:
- have solid understanding of Electrical Safety Rules and providing Safety from the System.
- have held previous Electrical Safety Rules Authorisations as a 400kV SAP or Control Engineer.
- have experience operating SCADA applications or equivalent experience.
- demonstrate a proactive approach to self-directed learning and continuous improvement.
- are comfortable working collaboratively and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including NESO/DNO's.
- possess excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
- are committed to safe, compliant, and efficient operations.
This role is site based at our Hub in Barrow-in-Furness and follows a shift pattern that will include nights as well as days.
