Job Description
This role is suitable for experienced surveyors looking to progress into or further develop as a Survey Party Chief (Offshore) or Chief Surveyor (Dredging). Boskalis provides coaching, leadership development and technical training through the Boskalis Academy.
At Boskalis, our survey teams support some of the world's most complex marine and infrastructure projects. Whether it's dredging, land reclamation, offshore energy, cable installation, rock placement or other marine construction activities, accurate survey data is essential to successful project execution.
We are looking for an experienced surveyor who is -now or in time- ready to take the next step into a leadership role as Survey Party Chief or Chief Surveyor on Dredging Projects.
Your challenge
You will be responsible for leading the survey team on board one of our vessels or project sites. You coordinate survey operations, ensure the delivery of high-quality survey data and act as a key point of contact between the survey team, vessel or project management, and the client.
You will
- Lead and support a team of online and offline surveyors.
- Coordinate survey operations and deliverables.
- Ensure survey activities comply with project requirements and quality standards.
- Promote a strong safety culture within the survey team.
- Support communication between project teams, vessel management and clients.
- Work with a variety of survey technologies and software used in marine and offshore environments.
What you bring
You can make your mark if you have:
- 3+ years of experience in offshore, hydrographic, dredging or marine surveying.
- Experience with survey software.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- The ambition to lead and develop a team.
- A practical, solution-oriented mindset.
- EU passport: Required due to current project locations and visa requirements.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Experience with multibeam, GNSS positioning, acoustic systems, data processing or CAD software is an advantage.
- Experience leading small teams, mentoring colleagues, or acting as deputy Party Chief/Chief surveyor is an advantage
