What you will work on
- Support the preparation, review, and administration of commercial agreements and legal documents.
- Assist with legal research on Japanese laws and regulations related to the energy sector.
- Help ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Support transactions, due diligence activities and document management for ongoing projects.
- Work closely with internal teams including Business Development, Finance, and Operations, as well as external legal advisors.
- Assist with corporate governance and general in-house legal matters.
- Contribute to legal processes and continuously improve internal documentation and workflows.
What makes you a great candidate
- Law degree from a Japanese university.
- Native or fluent Japanese and professional working proficiency in English.
- Up to 2 years of legal experience, or a recent graduate with relevant internships or practical legal experience.
- Interest in commercial law, corporate law, renewable energy, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, collaborative mindset.
- Currently based in Tokyo, or willing to relocate to Tokyo prior to joining.
