The Head of Communications needs to be a highly skilled communications practitioner and has to provide respected media relations and positioning advice to the APAC President and the APAC management team. The role is fundamentally about implementing a strong relationship with media in Taiwan and the rest of APAC, using media to influence senior external stakeholders, including the government. The Head of Communications leads our media and external communications in Taiwan and on frontier markets in APAC and will be responsible for developing, overseeing, and delivering media and external communications strategy.

Welcome to Taiwan Communications team

Taiwan Country Management Team where you, together with your colleagues will be responsible for protecting and strengthening Ørsted's reputation in Taiwan. Together, you'll deliver media relations, corporate positioning, internal communications, branding, digital content, leadership communications, and communications support for major business milestones. You'll work closely with colleagues across Taiwan, APAC, and Group Communications to ensure our local storytelling is aligned with business priorities and global standards.

As a team, we are strategic, collaborative, trusted, and hands-on. We combine local insight with global standards to deliver high-quality communications that support the business.

You'll play an important role in

  • developing and executing Taiwan's integrated communications strategy across external, internal, branding, digital, and leadership communications
  • advising senior leaders on reputation management, media strategy, stakeholder positioning, issues management, and executive communications
  • building and managing relationships with trade, business, regional, national, and online media in Taiwan
  • delivering high-quality communications content, including press releases, speeches, presentations, social media posts, articles, and employee communications
  • leading corporate branding, storytelling, marketing campaign, events, and to engage employees and stakeholders to strengthen Ørsted reputation in Taiwan
  • supporting selected APAC communications priorities by providing Taiwan market insights, developing content, and coordinating communications where relevant.

To succeed in the role, you

  • have proven and substantial experience in corporate communications, media relations, reputation management, or public relations (agency or in-house)
  • have strong understanding of Taiwan's media landscape, regulatory environment, and stakeholder relations, with sound judgment on sensitive or high-profile issues
  • have experience working in a multinational company and matrix organization, with demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across cultures
  • have proven ability to develop and execute integrated communications strategies across owned, earned, and social media channels
  • have strong people leadership skills and can lead, coach, prioritise, and develop a high-performing communications team
  • are fluent in Mandarin, with excellent Traditional Chinese writing skills, and professional-level English proficiency.
