About the role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Procurement Lead - Energy Solutions to join AGL's Energy Solutions team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Supply Chain & Shared Services, you'll lead procurement, supplier management and inventory activities that support the successful delivery of critical Energy Solutions projects. Working closely with stakeholders across project delivery, finance, technical, warehousing and logistics teams, you'll help ensure materials and services are sourced safely, efficiently and cost-effectively. This is a fantastic opportunity to influence strategic sourcing decisions, optimise supply chain performance and contribute to projects that support AGL's energy transition.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and execute procurement and sourcing strategies that deliver value, manage risk and support Energy Solutions project and operational objectives.
  • Lead supplier engagement activities, including market analysis, tender processes, contract negotiations and ongoing supplier performance management.
  • Manage procurement contracts and governance activities, ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements and commercial obligations.
  • Partner with project, technical, finance, warehousing and logistics teams to ensure goods and services are sourced and delivered safely, efficiently and on time.
  • Oversee inventory planning and procurement operations, supporting material availability across warehouses, 3PL providers and direct-to-site supply channels.
  • Drive continuous improvement across procurement, inventory, warehousing and supply chain processes to enhance service, reduce costs and improve operational performance.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, inventory management or category management within a complex operational environment.
  • Demonstrated success managing supplier relationships, leading RFQ/RFP processes and delivering commercial negotiations.
  • Strong understanding of procurement governance, contract management, supplier performance and compliance requirements.
  • Experience using ERP, WMS and planning systems to manage purchasing, inventory and supply chain operations.
  • Highly developed analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Commerce or a related discipline, with experience in energy, utilities, infrastructure, construction or similar industries highly regarded.
