In our optimized CIP Platform, CIP Terra Technologies - a project delivery company delivering projects from onshore wind, solar PV and battery energy storage systems, to bioenergy, thermal and transmission infrastructure - is currently looking for a Development Manager, to join the team in Melbourne, Australia.
You will join a highly motivated colleagues with extensive experience in managing delivery of energy and infrastructure assets. The CIP Terra Technologies team is end-to-end responsible for the delivery of CIP's onshore renewable energy projects, is responsible for the long-term performance of CIP and works closely with other local and global teams within CIP.
Role
As a Development Manager in CIP-TT, you will be closely involved in the development of CIP's renewable energy projects in Australia such as onshore wind, battery or solar. You will form part of the collaborative CIP-TT project teams and will be responsible for managing key project development workstreams, such as community engagements, grid connection, permitting, layout, procurement, land etc. to ensure the renewable energy projects can get to Final Investment Decision. You will manage both complex commercial and technical aspect of the projects.
Responsibilities will consist of but are not limited to
- Lead project management across key development workstreams to manage workstream activities according to program, budget and respond to any governance requirements
- Lead the permitting, land and environmental support workstreams, directly coordinating external advisors. Securing all project permits & consents (including required land agreements) to enable project progress according to schedule
- Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategy. Ensure communication and engagement of stakeholders to ensure local project support enabling a smooth development process
- Provide support to workstream leads as required, across grid, engineering and design, and
- procurement.
- Oversee the preparation of project proposals and collateral, across technical, financial, and environmental aspects.
- Working closely with engineering, finance, legal, and procurement teams to reach key project milestones.
- Developing and managing project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
- Support budgeting and business case workstreams to secure funding and approvals.
- Ensure transparent communication to senior CIP stakeholders on the project development
You
We are looking for a person with a relevant degree in Engineering, Economics, Environmental Science, Business or similar fields with 5+ years of experience within development of renewable energy project
