What They Do
Hanwha Renewables is a North American solar and battery-storage development platform focused on utility-scale solar, standalone storage, and solar-plus-storage projects rather than general renewable energy sectors (source: hanwharenewables.com). The company provides bankable, full-lifecycle project development services from concept through commercial operation, including development, design, construction, operations, and maintenance (source: hanwharenewables.com). Their technology focus includes hybrid solar-plus-storage and standalone battery energy storage systems designed to capture electricity during low demand and release it during peak demand or grid disruptions (source: hanwharenewables.com). Target markets include utilities, corporate offtakers, landowners, and communities, with an emphasis on utility-scale demand rather than residential or small commercial solar (source: hanwharenewables.com). A key differentiator is Hanwha Renewables’ vertical integration with Hanwha Group and Qcells, combining financial strength, domestic module manufacturing, and EPC delivery to reduce project complexity and improve execution certainty (source: hanwharenewables.com).
