Join us in this role where you'll be focusing on planned activities with a reliability and asset health perspective which is driven by the systems and tools. You'll identify common, reoccurring, and major component faults and collaborate with other departments to reach solutions. You'll manage the daily planning and logistic operations, managing the offshore wind turbine technicians.
You'll be part of the far shore supervisor team where you, together with your colleagues, will provide safety and operational guidance for wind technicians including the delivery of toolbox talks and daily safety briefings, work with special projects and project organisation on various turbine systems. Assist in the coordination of campaign works and maintenance tasks along with the Operations Manager. Identify common, reoccurring, and major component faults and collaborate with other departments to reach solutions to ensure a safe and successful operation of all offshore activities. As a team, we work closely with the Regional Technical Site Supervisors, Project Support and remote diagnostic team to cover the essential elements for asset management.
You'll play an important role in
- Leading the safe execution of maintenance activities, ensuring work is completed to the highest operational, quality and safety standards while supporting offshore operations.
- Providing strong safety leadership, promoting a positive safety culture, compliance with WTSR and safe systems of work, and maintaining a psychologically safe working environment.
- Leading and develop high-performing teams through coaching, performance management, competence development and effective day-to-day leadership.
- Leading work preparation and execution readiness, ensuring maintenance plans, documentation, work orders, materials, resources and contractor support are in place for safe and efficient delivery.
- Driving asset performance and reliability through effective work prioritisation, defect resolution, operational performance monitoring and clear communication of progress, risks and improvement opportunities.
To succeed in the role, you
- Have experience of leading and developing technical teams, including coaching, performance management, competence development and day-to-day people leadership.
- Have a strong understanding of maintenance delivery, work preparation and execution, preferably within offshore wind, power generation or another safety-critical industry.
- Have experience working with SAP processes, maintenance plans and task lists, with a good understanding of work order management and planning principles.
- Be Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR) competent and certified, or have experience working within comparable safe systems of work.
- Have strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capability, ideally with experience of the Siemens Direct Drive platform.
- Be confident in prioritising competing operational demands, using asset performance, risk and resource information to make sound maintenance decisions.
- Demonstrate strong safety leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to lead effectively in an offshore environment.
- Hold a recognised technical or engineering qualification, ideally HNC/HND or Degree level in Mechanical, Electrical, Renewable Energy or a related engineering discipline, or demonstrate equivalent relevant industry experience.
This position is based on a Service Operation Vessel (SOV) and operates on a 2-weeks-on, 2-weeks-off rotational schedule. In addition to the base salary, the role attracts additional offshore allowances.
