Job Description
Do you want to join a global leader in renewable energy infrastructure? If so, CIP Fund Solutions (CIP FS) is looking for an Transformation Officer to join our Business Transformation team based in our office in Luxembourg (or Copenhagen).
The Business Transformation team is a small, global group of skilled professionals who act as our internal driver for structured operational change. This team manages critical in-house projects that support the execution of our strategy, incorporating business processes, IT, data, analysis and design propositions and develop innovative solutions that enhance efficiency and solve problems across the organization.
The team works across functional and geographic boundaries to diagnose performance gaps, design improvement solutions, and deliver them to measurable outcomes. Our team is committed to maintaining visibility with stakeholders and promoting collaboration.
Role
As a Transformation Officer, you will help optimize and streamline the business processes that underpin our funds platform and related fund operations. The role will involve conducting as-is assessments of existing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and owning the design and delivery of transformation initiatives within enterprise-wide programs aligned with organizational goals. In this role you will focus primarily on transformation initiatives and projects across the fund lifecycle in addition to wider enterprise-wide transformation programs.
Additionally, you will collaborate with stakeholders across CIP Fund Solutions, CIP P/S, our platform companies and external service providers to ensure smooth adoption of process changes.
Responsibilities will consist of but are not limited to
- Process improvement and optimization: Map, analyze, and redesign end-to-end processes across Fund Finance and Operations, Corporate Finance, Tax and Legal, to eliminate waste, reduce cycle times, and improve accuracy. Conduct root-cause analysis and apply structured methodologies to diagnose and resolve recurring operational breakdowns. Develop and maintain process documentation (e.g. process maps, SOPs/procedures, RACI matrices, system dependencies) in a dedicated business process mapping system. Define and track performance metrics (KPIs, SLAs) to monitor process health and quantify improvement impact.
- Transformation initiatives: Support the design and delivery of enterprise-wide transformation programs, coordinating workstreams across legal entities, fund vehicles and geographies. Help build and maintain comprehensive business cases, transformation roadmaps, milestones and execution plans. Contribute to the evaluation and deployment of automation solutions (RPA, workflow tools, low-code platforms) and improvements to fund operations and reporting systems (e.g. fund administration platforms) to increase operational throughput. Support the delivery of regulatory-driven change across the funds platform.
- Stakeholder engagement and collaboration: Partner with Finance, Tax, Technology, Operations, and Legal/Compliance stakeholders to understand current-state pain points and co-design future-state solutions. Engage external service providers (e.g. fund administrators, depositaries, legal counsel, consultants/advisors and auditors) to align on process changes and service levels. Prepare and present structured analysis, business cases, and initiative updates to senior leadership, including Project Steering Committees (SteerCos) and the Executive Team (ExT). Facilitate planning workshops and cross-functional alignment sessions.
- Reporting & governance: Develop and present executive-level updates, board decks and progress reports. Maintain transformation project trackers, performance dashboards (Power BI or equivalent), and governance reporting for the Business Transformation team. Support the development of executive-facing deliverables (e.g. scorecards, initiative playbooks, update decks) ensuring accuracy and professional quality.
You
You have at least a bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, engineering, or related discipline. MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification with relevant experience (4-7 years) from transformation, process improvement roles or management consulting, within or serving the asset management or funds industry.
We look for the following in a candidate
- Prior consulting experience at a Big 4 or Tier-1 strategy firm, within a financial services, asset management or private markets funds practice.
- Exposure to alternative fund structures (e.g. AIFs, SCSp, SICAV, RAIF, SIF, UCI Part II/ELTIF and master-feeder/parallel structures) and an understanding of the fund lifecycle from formation through administration.
- Working knowledge of the European and Luxembourg regulatory environment for alternative funds (e.g. AIFMD, CSSF requirements, ELTIF, SFDR and AML/CFT).
- Operational know-how across fund operations: fund accounting/NAV, investor onboarding and servicing, capital calls and distributions, and oversight of outsourced service providers.
- Demonstrated experience in developing transformation strategies and execution roadmaps.
- Experience in providing strategic advice and solutions to improve business processes and performance.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team, contributing to collective goals and supporting team members with effective stakeholder management skills across countries and cultures.
- Self-motivated and taking initiative to identify opportunities for improvement, and with a good work ethic.
- Ability to analyze complex data and processes to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Experience in executing and managing change initiatives to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of new processes.
- Proficient interpersonal and communication skills, focusing on conveying complex ideas clearly to diverse individuals including written skills such as reports, project documentation, SteerCo/Board packs.
- Solid problem-solving skills, able to address challenges and find innovative solutions.
- Proficiency in AI tools for productivity gains (including writing skills and agents, as applicable).
- Fluency in English.
