Job Description

We're looking for a motivated and skilled individual to join our team as an IoT Engineer. In this role, you'll support and grow our data logging infrastructure, troubleshoot network issues, and help implement cybersecurity best practices across our industrial systems.

You'll be part of a vibrant, multidisciplinary, and hands-on team that works closely across engineering, IT, and operational domains. This is a role where your technical skills directly support and improve critical infrastructure - and where your impact is both visible and valued.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, monitor, and expand our industrial datalogging infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues affecting operations.
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives, helping to identify vulnerabilities and implement improvements based on best practices.
  • Work with industrial communication protocols and OT systems to ensure reliable data flow.
  • Contribute with scripting and automation to streamline tasks and enhance system performance.
  • Document work thoroughly and maintain high attention to detail.
  • Travel to our vessels (up to 20% of the time) to support onsite systems and infrastructure.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor/Master degree in a relevant field (IT, ICT, Automation, Electromechanical, Electronics) or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 2-5 years of professional experience in a relevant role (e.g., network engineering, industrial automation, or cybersecurity in an operational environment).
  • Solid understanding of computer networking (routing, switching, firewalls, etc.).
  • Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity standards and frameworks (e.g., IEC 62443, NIST).
  • Experience with industrial protocols such as OPC DA/UA, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, and similar.
  • Familiarity with PLC and SCADA systems
  • Scripting/programming skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and integration tasks.
  • Interest in learning how our assets and operations function to better support the technology that drives them.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills, and the discipline to document your work clearly and thoroughly.
  • Bonus If You Have: familiarity with industrial data historians or time-series databases and knowledge of secure remote access solutions in OT environments.
