A full-time position exists for an Asset Management Functional Specialist to join the Planning and Performance team within Operations.
About the position
The Asset Management Functional Specialist is dedicated to maintaining and continuously improving the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system, focusing on its functional administration and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. You will provide solutions for the EAM/CMMS (Ellipse), ensuring its optimal configuration and reliability. This includes contributing to the governance framework and developing data reporting that delivers actionable insights to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the EAM/CMMS system (Ellipse), ensuring its optimal configuration and effectiveness.
- Contribute to the governance framework, including data integrity protocols and change management procedures for the EAM system.
- Oversee the functional administration and strategic use of Ellipse's core Maintenance and Inventory modules, including managing system updates, releases, testing, training on changes, and continuous system improvement.
- Ensure the reliability and availability of the EAM/CMMS, managing support services and leading problem resolution for critical system issues.
- Develop and maintain data visualisation and reporting frameworks to provide clear, actionable insights from system data to stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders, including Technology and Operations teams.
About the location
The preferred location for this role is Cooma, however we may consider candidates from other Hydro office locations such as Sydney, Melbourne, Khancoban, or Talbingo. The role may involve travel to sites across New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia as required, to build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders.
About you
- A collaborative professional with proven expertise in managing and administering key enterprise systems like EAM/CMMS (Ellipse) in heavy industry operational and maintenance environments, adept at Applying Expertise and Technology to optimise asset management and long-term planning.
- An effective communicator who can clearly articulate complex issues to a broad range of stakeholders and customers, building strong internal and external Relationships.
- A results-oriented individual with a focus on Delivering Results, demonstrating practical experience in an IT systems, maintenance, or business improvement role, ideally within a power generation or heavy industry environment.
- A strategic thinker with a sound understanding of the Risk and Assurance landscape and a strong background in data governance or master data management, who continuously seeks to improve through Learning.
- A problem-solver with demonstrated Problem Management & Fault Finding experience, ensuring system reliability and availability for critical enterprise systems.
- A flexible and measured team member who can quickly and effectively adapt to changing circumstances and influence stakeholder behaviour to achieve desired business outcomes through Collaboration.
- Prior experience in administering (Ellipse), particularly Maintenance and Inventory modules (preferred).
