New Energy Nexus (NEX) is an international organization that strives towards a 100% clean energy economy for 100% of the population. It does this with a laser focus on diverse entrepreneurs, supporting them with accelerators, funds, skills, and networks they need to thrive. NEX has accelerated 1,500+ startups, empowered over 10,400+ entrepreneurs, and mobilized over US$4.7 billion in investment. Since its founding in California in 2004, NEX now operates programs or advisory services in Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Philippines, Thailand, the UAE, Uganda, the USA (California and New York), and Vietnam.
In Vietnam, New Energy Nexus is building an ecosystem of clean energy entrepreneurs working on solutions to address the regional energy transition and climate change. About the role
We are recruiting Report Collaborators to support the development of a high-impact publication on Vietnam's climate technology innovation and investment ecosystem. You can read about our report HERE.
These roles contribute to the same national-level report but focus on different strengths: one emphasizes qualitative stakeholder engagement and narrative synthesis; the other focuses on quantitative ecosystem mapping and data integrity. The collaborators will work closely with the report lead and the research team from New Energy Nexus Vietnam and RMIT University Vietnam.
We are seeking a Research & Stakeholder Collaborator to support the end-to-end development of the report. This role is ideal for someone who excels at connecting structured research with human insights. You will help bridge desk research with real-world validation by engaging directly with founders, investors, and ecosystem leaders shaping Vietnam's green economy. The ideal candidate will be based in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, and can commit 20 hours minimum per week from March - June 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Ecosystem Research & Analysis
- Assist in conducting structured desk and primary research under the guidance of the Report Lead
- Review industry publications, policy documents, investment reports, and ecosystem databases
- Synthesize data into concise research briefs and insight memos
Stakeholder Engagement & Qualitative Research
- Assist the scheduling and coordination of interviews with founders, investors, and policymakers
- Take detailed notes during interviews and assist with interview transcription.
- Identify recurring themes, ecosystem bottlenecks, and emerging trends
- Translate qualitative insights into structured report findings
Report Development & Synthesis
- Support the Report Lead in shaping the narrative structure
- Draft and refine report sections based on qualitative findings
- Contribute to ecosystem mapping with qualitative updates from interviews
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have a background in Economics, Finance, Sustainability, or related fields
- Demonstrate experience in research, academic writing, or data analysis
- Time commitment: As stated in each role overview above
- Are highly detail-oriented and self-directed
- Have a strong interest in climate technology and the investment ecosystem
