About the Role
We are looking for a Grant and Project Officer to support MG's work in research, innovation funding, and project coordination. The role is suited to someone with a background in sustainability, energy, engineering, or related interdisciplinary fields, and with strong interest in public funding, proposal development, and collaborative innovation.
You will contribute to the preparation of Swedish, EU, and international grant applications, support ongoing projects and partner coordination, help structure research and innovation activities, and prepare reports and communication materials linked to project development.
The role combines analytical work, writing, stakeholder coordination, and practical project support in a small and dynamic international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of grant applications for Swedish, EU, and international funding programmes
- Contribute to project development, concept structuring, and proposal writing
- Coordinate communication with academic, industry, and institutional partners
- Assist in planning, documentation, reporting, and follow-up of ongoing projects
- Conduct background research, desk studies, and synthesis of technical and non-technical information
- Support innovation-related activities in renewable energy, sustainability, and related sectors
- Prepare presentations, written materials, and internal project documentation
- Contribute to organizational and process development in a growing company
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree, or equivalent advanced academic background, in Energy, Sustainability, Engineering, Environmental Management, Innovation Studies, or a related field.
- Strong writing and analytical skills in English.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in grant writing, funding applications, research support, and project development.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with multiple partners and stakeholders.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Meritorious Qualifications
- Experience with EU, or international funding programmes such as Horizon Europe, Eurostars, CETP, Erasmus+, or related schemes
- Academic or practical experience in renewable energy, energy transition, sustainability, or climate innovation
- Experience in stakeholder engagement, workshop support, and cross-sector collaboration
- Entrepreneurial or startup experience
- Experience working in multicultural or international environments
- Knowledge of Swedish is meritorious, but not required
- Additional language skills are an advantage
