Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Interface Manager to join our marine installation team, supporting major offshore delivery projects and managing communication with clients and third-party asset owners.

Manage interfaces with clients and third-party asset owners

As part of the Installation department, you will work in a global, demanding project environment, supporting the timely delivery of marine crossings involving existing submarine infrastructure, including in-service and out-of-service pipelines and cables.

You will support the Project Installation Manager and Lead Engineer, coordinating interfaces across internal teams, subcontractors, clients and third-party asset owners through planning, execution and close-out.

In this role, you will help manage all project interfaces related to marine crossings, ensuring technical, operational and stakeholder requirements are aligned to support compliant delivery.

Key responsibilities include

  • Act as the single point of contact for the client's Crossing Interface Manager.
  • Build and maintain positive, productive relationships with clients and third-party asset owners to support effective marine crossing delivery.
  • Coordinate interfaces across project teams, subcontractors and external stakeholders to ensure effective integration and alignment.
  • Maintain accurate records of interface agreements, requirements, changes, risks and issue resolution.
  • Develop and manage a forward-looking marine crossing roadmap, including key requirements and dependencies.
  • Review and coordinate third-party technical and operational requirements relating to crossing design, agreements, specifications and vessel operations.
  • Support the development of crossing methodology concepts with the marine engineering team and subcontractors, and align these with external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate risk workshops with third-party asset owners, supported by marine engineering, H&S teams and subcontractors, including HIRAs, HAZIDs and HAZOPs where required.
  • Manage identified risks through to close-out in collaboration with the marine engineering team and subcontractors.
  • Support the development and review of detailed engineering procedures and as-built documentation packages.
  • Prepare and present interface status reports covering progress, risks and key issues.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of contract terms and scope to support communication, delivery and claims management.

  • A BSc, an MSc, in Marine Engineering, Project Management or a related field.
  • A solid understanding of project management and integration processes.
  • Good organizational and coordination skills.
  • Project management training or related courses would be beneficial.
