Job Description

Are you passionate about renewable energy and eager to work at the forefront of the global energy transition? PEAK Wind is seeking a Commercial Analyst / Senior Commercial Analyst to support renewable energy projects around the world. In this role, you will combine commercial, financial, technical, and strategic analysis to help clients optimise asset performance, operating strategies, and long-term value creation across renewable energy projects globally. The role offers a unique opportunity to influence key investment and operational decisions while working closely with industry-leading clients and multidisciplinary teams. The position is located in Aarhus, Copenhagen, Glasgow or Hamburg.

Introducing the Commercial Analytics Team

You will become part of our Commercial Analytics team, where we work collaboratively to support renewable energy projects around the world through commercial advisory, quantitative analysis, and strategic decision-making. Working closely with clients and colleagues across Asset Management, Technical Advisory, and Operations, we help optimise project value and support informed investment and operational decisions throughout the asset lifecycle.

You will report to the Head of Commercial Analytics and work closely with colleagues across different areas, bringing your perspective to a collaborative and purposeful team environment.

How You Will Make an Impact

As a Commercial Analyst / Senior Commercial Analyst, you will contribute to the success of our clients and renewable energy projects by delivering commercial insights, business cases, risk assessments, and decision-support tools that help optimise asset performance, operating strategies, and project value.

You will lead and support complex client engagements, develop advanced analytical models and tools, contribute to service development initiatives, and strengthening PEAK Wind's commercial analytics capabilities.

Depending on your experience and seniority, you will take ownership of some or all of the following responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver structured techno-economic analyses, sensitivity assessments, and risk evaluations related to O&M strategy, OPEX, and asset performance
  • Develop operational budgets and commercial inputs supporting renewable energy projects across different development and operational stages
  • Review and analyse contracts, cost data, performance data, market assumptions, and other asset-related documentation
  • Build, maintain, and enhance analytical models and tools in Excel and possibly Python to support client engagements and internal methodologies
  • Identify value levers, optimisation opportunities, and commercial risks across renewable energy assets and portfolios
  • Provide commercial and strategic advisory related to operations, maintenance, and asset performance of renewable energy projects
  • Develop business and market intelligence, benchmarking tools, and commercial insights that support advisory services and decision-making
  • Lead commercial analytics projects and coordinate stakeholders across technical, operational, and commercial disciplines
  • Prepare reports, presentations, recommendations, and other client deliverables
  • Support business development activities, proposal preparation, development of service offerings, and thought leadership initiatives
  • Contribute to internal tool development, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain and develop market knowledge, cost assumptions, and industry insights in collaboration with colleagues, clients, and industry stakeholders
