Job Description

As a Financial Controller, you will be part of GCC Finance team in CIP FS. The team is responsible for delivering high-quality financial reporting, financial controls, accounting, treasury, budgeting and forecasting and compliance support for CIP's global operations. This team partners closely with regional finance teams, business stakeholders, auditors, and tax advisors to ensure robust financial governance, strong internal controls and operational excellence. Serves as a POC for Bankers also support in various local compliance activities.

Role

As our new Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the organization's financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting, forecasting, treasury operations, and compliance functions. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, strengthens internal controls and maintain compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Working closely with business leaders, the financial controller provides insights that support decision-making, optimise business performance, drive operational excellence and continuous process improvements.

Responsibilities will consist of but are not limited to

1. Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead annual budgeting process and periodic financial forecasting.
  • Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts.
  • Perform variance analysis and provide actionable recommendations to management.
  • Support financial planning and business decision-making.

2. Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Establish and strengthen effective internal control frameworks across finance operations.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage external and internal audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
  • Identify financial risks and implement effective mitigation measures.

3. Cash Flow & Treasury Management

  • Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital.
  • Manage banking relationships and treasury operations.
  • Optimize cash management and financing arrangements.
  • Support investment planning and capital allocation decisions.

4. Financial Accounting and Reporting

  • Ensure accurate and timely closure of monthly and annual financial statements.
  • Monitor financial performance and prepare periodic MIS reports.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and GAAP.

5. Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with business leaders to provide financial guidance and commercial insights.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Support leadership with data analysis for strategic initiatives.

6. Process Improvement

  • Streamline finance operations and reporting processes.
  • Implement best practices and digital finance solutions.
  • Lead initiatives that improve operational effectiveness, reporting quality and financial governance.

You

We are looking for motivated Chartered Accountant with min 8+ years of experience in finance controlling, prior leadership experience managing finance teams is an advantage. You have strong experience in financial reporting, financial controlling, statutory audit, compliance, and accounting operations.

Moreover, you have hands on expertise month -end /year -end close activities, treasury and banking operations and local tax compliance.

We look for the following in a candidate

  • Prior leadership experience managing finance teams is an advantage
  • Hands on experience with ERP platforms such as Microsoft Business Central (MSBC), SAP, Oracle
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and Ind AS including their application in financial reporting and financial statement preparation
  • Prior experience of managing finance activities for multiple geographies would be an added advantage
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage strict deadlines
  • Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of effective stakeholder management across cross functional and external teams.
