What They Do
SCADA International, now operating under the name Opoura, specializes in software and systems for SCADA, control, and energy management for power and infrastructure assets. The company offers a wide range of solutions, spanning hardware and software to installation, commissioning, consulting, and value-adding services around monitoring and data collection systems (SCADA) (source: lasso.dk). Their technology collects live production data from distributed assets and transforms it into decision-supporting information that optimizes performance and reduces costs (source: stateofgreen.com). A key part of their business is ETRM software, including systems for Energi Danmark, which automate energy trading and risk management with integration to power exchanges and Energinet (source: opoura.com). Opoura focuses on connecting, controlling, and commercializing energy assets across the value chain and now includes several digital and software companies under the same brand (source: windtech-international.com).
Projects & Track Record
A notable project is the implementation of the ETRM system for Energi Danmark, announced in April 2022, which simplifies and optimizes electricity trading through automated processes and direct integration with power exchanges and transmission system operators (source: opoura.com, ritzau.dk). Another important milestone is Deutsche Windtechnik, which has added more than 6,000 wind turbines to the Opoura platform, illustrating the large scale of asset management the group handles after the rebranding (source: opoura.com). SCADA International supports operational reliability for thousands of wind and solar farms as well as water supply companies globally (source: ritzau.dk). Their geographic reach includes Denmark, Germany, Poland, Spain, Ukraine, Romania, the United Kingdom, and the USA, reflecting both direct presence and customer base (source: ritzau.dk).
Recent Developments
In January 2023, Magnesium Capital and Morgan Stanley Investment Management completed the acquisition of the majority of shares in SCADA Holding A/S, bringing the group under new private equity ownership (source: ritzau.dk). That same month, SCADA International became a member of the industry association Intelligent Energi, highlighting the company’s position within energy software and services in Denmark (source: ritzau.dk). In December 2024, the company announced its rebranding to Opoura, consolidating several acquired companies under one name and signaling a focus on optimizing asset performance (source: ritzau.dk, windtech-international.com). In 2022, the company won Energi Danmark’s ETRM contract, marking an expansion from traditional SCADA monitoring to advanced trading and risk management software (source: ritzau.dk).

SCADA International offers career opportunities in SCADA engineering, software development, systems engineering, consulting, hardware solutions, installation, commissioning, monitoring, and maintenance (source: stateofgreen.com). Job Description
Do you want to be part of a growing, entrepreneurial business in the renewable energy sector, where every hire, every leadership conversation, and every people process can have a real impact?
At Opoura, we are looking for an HR Business Partner to join our People & Culture team at our headquarters in Silkeborg. You will become part of an international organization with more than 240 colleagues across Europe and the US, working together across countries, disciplines, and business areas to support the energy transition.
This is a broad HR role for someone who enjoys both the advisory side of HR and the practical work behind strong people processes. You will join at a point where Opoura has brought five companies together into one organization, with a strong foundation in place and an important next chapter ahead. For People & Culture, that means helping leaders and teams connect across countries, strengthen common ways of working, and build the people practices that support Opoura's continued growth.
Your role
You will be part of a small, trusted People & Culture team working to make Opoura a place where highly skilled people can do their best work, grow, and thrive. You will work alongside one fellow HR Business Partner, a People Coordinator, and our EVP People & Marketing, partnering with leaders across countries, business units, and seniority levels.
As our HR Business Partner, you will be a trusted partner to managers in a flat, commercially minded organization. Some leaders are experienced people managers. Others are newer in their leadership role. Your role is to help them create clarity, make sound people decisions, and build strong teams with confidence.
Recruitment will be a significant part of your role. We manage hiring in-house across all levels, from junior profiles to senior leadership. Some roles are straightforward. Others require deeper role clarification, active search, market understanding, and close sparring with the hiring manager. You will help turn business needs into clear position profiles, strong job ads, structured selection processes, and a good candidate experience.
Beyond recruitment, you will work across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee engagement, HR data, reporting, policies, collective agreements, and people-related projects. You will also help shape how People & Culture strengthens the business as Opoura continues to grow as one international organization.
Your main responsibilities
- Translate business needs into clear position profiles, strong job ads, structured interview processes, and solid hiring decisions, while owning recruitment from search and candidate dialogue to feedback, offer, contract preparation, and onboarding handover
- Partner with managers on leadership, employee relations, performance, salary review processes, engagement, team development, and organizational topics that strengthen both employee experience and business performance
- Ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding experiences that are consistent, thoughtful, and aligned with our ways of working
- Strengthen and develop People & Culture processes, tools, and materials across areas such as employee engagement, development dialogues, leadership support, manager guidance, and common people practices
- Handle HR and employment law matters by combining sound HR judgment, practical problem-solving, and accurate use of policies, collective agreements, employment contracts, and local requirements
- Use HR data, reporting, and relevant KPIs to create insight, follow up on progress, and identify where our people processes can improve
To be successful in this position, you
- Build trust with managers and employees through clarity, sound judgment, and consistent follow-through
- Know when to advise, when to challenge, and when to take ownership and move things forward
- Bring structure to complex or unclear situations without making things unnecessarily heavy
- See the connection between people decisions, leadership behavior, employee experience, and business performance
- Communicate with confidence and care, also when the topic is sensitive or the answer is not straightforward
- Thrive in an organization where collaboration, change, and practical problem-solving are part of everyday work
Your background
You are an HR professional who enjoys a broad role with real variation. You bring the judgment to advise leaders with confidence, the structure to drive processes forward, and the curiosity to keep learning as the business develops. You are pragmatic, reliable, and comfortable taking ownership, also when the task is not neatly defined from the beginning.
We imagine that you bring:
- A well-rounded HR toolbox built through hands-on HR partnering, manager sparring, employee relations, and people processes
- Proven experience with recruitment and talent acquisition, including role clarification, search, interviews, assessment, and hiring manager sparring
- Experience supporting managers on people-related topics in a growing, changing, or complex organization
- Good understanding of HR processes, policies, collective agreements, and preferably employment law matters
- A structured approach to communication, data, follow-up, and process ownership
- Strong communication skills in English and Danish
- Experience from technology, renewables, engineering, or an international organization is an advantage, but not a requirement
What we offer
At Opoura, you will get a role with real breadth, visibility, and influence. You will be close to both daily HR operations and the longer-term work of strengthening how People & Culture supports the business.
You can expect:
- A broad HR Business Partner role where recruitment, manager sparring, employee engagement, data, and process development all matter
- A small and collaborative People & Culture team with short decision paths, high trust, and direct access to leadership
- The opportunity to help shape how People & Culture operates in an international company with strong specialist knowledge and ambitious growth plans
- A business where people topics are closely connected to commercial decisions
- A practical working culture where good ideas are valued, and where you can make an impact without unnecessary bureaucracy
- Flexibility that supports a sustainable work-life balance
- Competitive compensation and health insurance
The role is based in Silkeborg, with flexibility and occasional travel to other Opoura locations.
If you are motivated by working close to the business and helping shape how People & Culture strengthens a growing renewable energy technology company, we would like to hear from you.
We review applications and meet with relevant candidates on an ongoing basis. To be considered for this position, please fill out the application form and upload your CV as soon as possible.
