France Energies Marines (FEM) is a key player recognized by European authorities and the European network of academic, industrial, manager, and design office stakeholders with whom the institute collaborates. This position of the institute leads to increasing collaborations with these different stakeholders to advance the European offshore wind sector and position it as a global leader. This is reflected in a series of collaborative European projects (Horizon Europe, Interreg, etc.) led by France Energies Marines or in partnership with its key European partners. The position of European Project Manager Officer aims to support the institute in structuring these projects, coordinating projects led by the institute, and identifying relevant calls for projects to position the institute. This position is attached to the "Ecosystem & Society" research department of the institute, which is coordinating a new Horizon Europe project. The PMO may be mobilized to support other European research projects from other research departments of the institute.

Missions

Within the "Ecosystem & Society" research department, the candidate will lead European collaborative research projects. The main missions will be as follows:

  • Managing research and innovation projects led by FEM: interfacing with the EU Project Officer and the European project partners, guaranteeing Quality, Cost, Deadlines and Risks (QCDR) approach, organizing and leading formal meetings, anticipating risks, etc;
  • Supporting the development of the institute's European project activities by:
    • Coordinating the development of collaborative projects and partnerships,
    • Monitoring EU calls for projects of interest to the institute.
  • Co-defining and co-developing R&D projects in collaboration with the scientific director and the R&D team of the "Ecosystem & Society" research department;
  • Assisting in managing the department's project portfolio within the institute;
  • Strengthening the Institute's links with key European offshore wind stakeholders;
  • Drafting reports and notes, in particular reports for the European Commission, with the support of partners.

Required Skills

Education

Master, Engineer or PhD degree

Specific knowledge

  • Setting up and managing European collaborative projects
  • Proficiency in EU project management tools and associated monitoring mechanisms

Would be a +

Knowledge of the offshore wind sector and the associated environmental, social and technological issues

Work experience

5 years' experience in managing European projects
