We are now looking for a (Senior) Operations Expert to join our Operations Management Support, MEA team and help shape a better future. This is a permanent position, preferably based in Tokyo, Japan.
What will you be doing
- Act as a technical expert, provide technical advice to plants under agreement and provide proactive operational and technical support for engines and other auxiliary equipment. Utilizing remote diagnostic and analytical tools analyses and supports installation crew to reliable and efficient plant operations.
- Propose improvements to the equipment performance, inform and manage potential operational risks together with stakeholders to ensure the equipment uptime.
- Ensure customer satisfaction.
As (Senior) Operations Expert, your work will focus on these responsibilities
- Provide technical and operational support to external and internal customers.
- Solve complex technical and operating problems of the customer assets as well as report and propose product improvement needs to reach quality and cost targets and ensure customer satisfaction
- Identify and actively seek to improve operational reliability and up-time of customer assets.
- Ensure that the performance targets for the installations are reached according to the contract in own responsibility area.
- Proactively provide recommendations to customers based on data/information received
- Report and escalate product improvements to relevant internal stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have
- Preferably BSc degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Min. 8-10 years of field and hands on experience of Dual Fuel-engines required
- Structured and planned way of working
- Focused and can-do attitude
- Good knowledge of Operations & Maintenance
- Good co-operation and technical communication skills
- Good technical mechanical and automation knowhow
- Strong analytic skills
- Contract business understanding
- Fluent in written and spoken Japanese & English
- IT skills
