Job Description
We are currently seeking a talented Finance Director to lead our finance team in Philippines. Reporting directly to VP of Finance.
The Finance Director will lead the full spectrum of finance operations for Peak Energy entities in Philippines including accounting, tax, treasury, FP&A, budgeting and forecast investment and transactions, internal control, reporting and compliance. Partnering with business leaders in country, this role will be the finance go to person supporting the business development and growth objectives in Philippines Market. Establish the local finance team through insourcing and outsourcing solutions. Working closely with the regional finance management team in Singapore and the Finance Shared Services Team in Manila, this role is also responsible for implementing the finance reporting process and system in country as an integral part of the Peak Energy Group. Monitoring the financial resources and budget of project development and execution in country, this role will monitor the project through entire lifecycle from development to operational delivery. As a seasonal functional leader, you will build up the finance team and drive collaboration across the local organization.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the business development, sales, technical and supporting functions to deliver a portfolio of Distribution Generation and Utility Scale Renewable projects.
- Maintain senior oversight on development and maintenance of financial models and provide guidance to team on required model adjustments and refinements as transaction progresses.
- Work with the relevant functions in deal structuring and due diligence process; prepare internal and investor presentation materials.
- Work on project bankability aspects across various functions including PPA, EPC, O&M, interconnection, land lease, permitting, environmental and insurance.
- Lead the financial planning, structuring, negotiating, and closing of non-recourse project finance; develop relationships with banks, financial institutions and external advisors throughout the financing process.
- Comply with statutory reporting requirements in all local entities in accounting, tax, treasury and group reporting and tax compliance requirements.
- Monitor the performance of all projects in development, construction and operation according to budget.
- Monitor the annual operating budget for development companies based on approved headcounts and SG&A activities.
- Timely and accurate reporting for month/ quarter/ year end to the group finance team.
- Assist in setup local operations, including credit matrix and establishment of new legal entities.
- Manage third party finance service providers for accounting and tax.
- Ad hoc group reporting requirement from Peak Energy and investors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; advanced degree and /or CPA highly desirable.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in senior finance leadership role with multi-layer finance organization, preferably with substantial experience in renewable energy.
- Strong background in financing, tax, accounting, financial modelling, and contract analysis with ability to contribute to or guide investment structuring and project due diligence.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proven track record of successful project finance and M&A closings. Established network of industry contacts is a strong advantage.
