Job Description
Do you want to join a global fund manager in energy infrastructure investments? If so, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) is currently looking for an Analyst to join our Energy Management team based in Copenhagen.
As an Analyst you will work in our Hyperscaler CoE & Business Development team within Energy Management in CIP. This team brings deep knowledge across both mature and emerging renewable energy markets and technologies. The team plays an important role in supporting CIP throughout the full lifecycle of renewable energy investments, including contributing insights and analytics during key transaction processes and supporting the commercial offtake and risk exposure of the Funds and their projects. The team's work helps ensure that energy market dynamics are well reflected in investment decisions, supporting value creation and effective risk management across the portfolio.
Role
This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of renewable energy markets, analytics, and technology in a market-facing team with broad exposure across the CIP platform. You will work on real business problems with direct relevance to how CIP identifies opportunities, supports commercial decision-making, and builds scalable tools and processes across the platform. Rather than supporting from the sidelines, you will take real ownership of workstreams and contribute to projects that are used by stakeholders across the business.
For the right candidate, this role offers a steep learning curve, meaningful responsibility, and close collaboration with experienced colleagues and senior stakeholders, in one of the most important sectors at the heart of the energy transition.
The position is part-time and based in our headquarters in Nord??. The workload will vary depending on ongoing projects, with flexibility to structure your time according to your schedule.
Responsibilities will consist of but are not limited to
- Support commercial decision-making through building and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reporting tools,
- Structure and manage datasets for market intelligence and pipeline tracking,
- Support development of matching logic between projects and potential offtake opportunities,
- Assist in preparation of materials for internal decision-making and stakeholder dialogues,
- Contribute to system design discussions and documentation,
- Manage smaller workstreams within larger initiatives.
Role development opportunities will include but are not limited to
- End-to-end delivery responsibility for smaller internal business development and analytics projects,
- Direct collaboration with senior leaders and stakeholders across the CIP platform,
- Opportunities to present data-, AI- and technology-focused business development and improvement ideas to senior leaders across CIP Platform Solutions,
- Ownership of recurring market intelligence, pipeline tracking, and decision-support reporting across the platform.
You
We are looking for Copenhagen-based students finishing their bachelor's or in the early stage of their Master's. Relevant educational focuses include business analytics, AI, data science, software/technology, or similar quantitative fields from DTU, ITU, KU, CBS, or equivalent institutions.
You should have a solid technical foundation, be comfortable working directly with data and digital tools, and be motivated by building structured and automated solutions to real business problems. We value this alongside commercial curiosity, structured thinking, and an interest in renewable energy.
We look for the following in a candidate
- Structured, detail-oriented, and able to work from problem statement to practical solution,
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage both business and technical stakeholders,
- Able to translate business needs into analytical, technical, and product-like solutions,
- Comfortable managing their own work and taking ownership of building and improving tools,
- Solid academic and/or practical experience within relevant data, analytics, or technology fields.
Strong candidates will also bring hands-on technology and data skills
- Experienced within data structuring and data modelling, with the ability to turn messy inputs into usable datasets and scalable logic,
- Experience building solutions yourself in tools such as Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Excel, SQL, Python, or similar technologies,
- Ability and motivation to develop working prototypes, internal tools, automations, and decision-support products,
- Solid understanding of how data flows across systems, including data capture, transformation, logic, reporting, and user-facing applications,
- A solid understanding of the role and practical deployment opportunities of AI in tools, systems, and business applications,
- Curiosity around system design, product thinking, and how technology can be used to solve real commercial problems in a scalable way.
Please note that we do not offer a remote working opportunity, thus you must be a Danish resident or an upcoming student enrolled in a Danish university to be eligible for this role. Students on exchange in Denmark are not considered eligible for this position.
